The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Going to lose another £1,100 off my wages this year, after the council decided this week to remove the essential car user's lump sum payment for anyone who doesn't do over 1,000 business miles in a year. As I've been stuck in the office the last 14 months (not by choice) that includes me. :|

Doubt I'll make the Alien screening at Somerset House now either. :x

Sorry guys, I can't make the drop. Money and RL have made it difficult. Waiting for coveralls to come in and even then I'll be strapped, bloody bills. Sorry to let everyone done but it was never a certainty. Hopefully I'll be a more stable postion later on this year or next. I'll still be around though. Sorry.

I have to cancel on this one, too.
House expenses just got a whole lot more complex and they got rid of half our department today

Just glad that LFCC looks good to go still.

I'm either going to go back to Colchester or stay over at ADC's place, I can't afford a hotel I'm afraid. :(

I can still make the drop but after losing my job I can't afford to stay over night so I'll probably make my way home or find a friend to crash with......or depending how drunk I get, a sizable bush!

Aw mate, I work for a local authority too, and they have done exactly the same to me too, except they set the cut off at 2000 miles. I managed 1600 last year, but am now somewhat suffering cash-wise, considering I was using the money to pay for the car I bought (and use for work) through the council car loan scheme.

Any idea on how we are getting in to this? just turn up at the entrance to the Movieum? or we meet up round the side? as i'm guessing we are all going to get there at different times..

I would suggest phoning other people once you arrive to see where they are and meeting up outside as a group. Failing that just phone someone and find out where inside we all are.

News from Johnnie: Since the Movieum opens at 10am on Saturday, we want to get there at 9:30am to get kitted up. The Movieum closes at 6pm, but as always we will finish when we get bored, tired and ready for a beer.

Personally, I'm working till 8pm on Friday, but I will try and get into London by about 9:30pm to meet up with people if anyone fancies it. Terry is allegedly gonna be in town.

9.30 on Sat is fine for me.

Is there any word on whether those not staying in the hotel can leave gear at the Movieum over night?

Cheers

Just a heads up that on the Saturday morning Johnnie has been in talks with the "Fright Club" below the Movieum and is hoping to put together something involving the Aliens/Preds and Marines. He will take us through it on the Sat morning and everyone will get a go that wants to. What this will involve exactly at the moment I don't know and of course it may not happen at all but just thought I would mention it in advance so you can all practice your shouty and "oooo I'm so scared" voices

Cheers
