The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Post subject: FINALLY got a Maruzen M870!!!

Due to a combination of my IT blocking any webshite featuring weapons and the infuriating incompetence of a shop who I shall not name, I'm no longer able to obtain the Maruzen M870 I had been eagerly awaiting for the past 12 weeks.

Does anyone know a place from where my poorly organised shop can obtain one?

Failing that, one I can just get myself, preferably all painted up in poncey 51% RIF compliant colours?
Can I ask for phone numbers of places as I probably can't acces their webshites.

Many thanks,
Woody.

That's fantastic, SAS. Cheers!

I just phoned up and had another shout at them. They're unsure if they can get one from another supplier, but they're going to try.

Apparently between placing the order and it reaching this supplier, they'd sold out and no-one thought to contact me about it.
Not a happy Woody.

I'm still dealing with the same shop, so I won't name them unless they @$%# up enough to warrant me unleashing most foul and dread vengeance upon them....

To be honest, it's not the delay or the fact that they were beat to the stock by someone else. It's that they left it almost 3 months and didn't think to contact me once.

I missed out on the pistol grip version, but they're now going after the DENtrinity one with the wood stock (Thanks Sidewinder ;) ).

Will advise....

I've been looking for a Tanaka M870 and just like the Maruzen M870 they are pretty hard to find in the UK.
So far Wolf Armouries in London are selling a Tanaka M870, however in a few short months they have risen the price of the Tanaka M870 shotgun from £300 to £500 + VAT.
I've asked around at a couple of local airsoft shops to see if they could order one in for me and they said they could do it but it'll end up costing me around £400 to £500 depending on customs charges.
The only other option is to order it directly from Red Wolf Airsoft or WGC as they are quite reasonably priced and reliable. The only thing stopping me is how do you get it passed Customs?!

You get the shop to order it in for you and then have them paint 51% of it in a colour that would make even the gayest of people scream in horror and disgust!!!

'Nuff said, I think.

Or as I found out recently you can ask them to dismantle it and ship it in different boxes, for an additional fee of course.

WGC will paint stuff before shipping if you want to import direct and don't have access to a defence to the VCRA.

Well, hopefully now it's all coming together within the week.
I'm firmly in touch with the chap who took my original order and he's updating me every step of the way.

Thanks for the help, y'all.
I really appreciate it!!

So getting the order "within the week" seems to have been a bit much for these guys...

Apparently the boss himself will be on to the suppliers first thing this morning.
Given that it's almost 5pm over in Tokyo right now and I haven't had a phonecall, I'm expecting to have a right shouting match this afternoon...

OK, the guys have finally received my Maruzen M870!!

The shop is Zero-One Airsoft and, to be fair, they have been very nice and understanding of the 3 months it has taken to get hold of this. I know they've had some immense difficulties with the language barriers and outsourcing.
The only real complaint I have is that no-one ever dropped me a line to keep me updated.

However, they have come through as promised and I'm just awaiting final invoice before they send it out.

For those also after one, I believe WCG still have one in stock, as linked above in Sidewinder's post...

Zero-One?

Now I know why the price you got quoted was so high... :)

Well, at the time they were actually the cheapest...

Back in Feb, they quoted £220, all in.
Then they decided that they had to buy one in from DenT, which meant extra taxes, shipping, import duty, revised exchange rate etc..... Reckoned to work out at £260......

Final actual cost - £380, which they could only advise me of once it was in the country and I'd paid the deposit. Fortunately, I was able to pass this on to someone else, minus my fifty-squid deposit, making it a reasonable buy for them.

However, I did notice that between Feb and April, the prices on most of Zero-One's stock rose by about 60-70%!!!

They weren't the only one to do so. Wolf Armouries increased their prices and a Tanaka M870 went from £300 to £500 in the space of four months.
