The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

The metal slide kit shouldn't affect the amount of gas used, but it will reduce the rate of fire due to increased weight. I haven't shopped for the M93R, but most guns with metal kits have upgraded recoil springs to counteract this.

If the extended mags are physically larger, then they will hold more gas.

I got a KSC M93R and alot of gas blow back airsoft hand guns.

I got a KSC Glock 18C with full metal sildes, barrle and recoil spring that been uprated.

The only reason to get metal kits is to use the high gas like Green gas and not the low 134A. The gas use is the same but the kick is a lot more and the noise is excellent.

I did wonder also would the metal slides slow the G18C down but it only abit when on full auto.

The stronger recoil is used to stop the slides hitting to hard as the stronger gas is used. So they counter balance each out.

I hope this helps.

the factory manual says to use green gas. and thats what i got. so i am assuming its cool even if the slide is plastic? the sound (as is) is perfect for shooting indoors. so will the sound change any with the upgrades??

Not to mention the realism factor of having a full-metal pistol :D I've never bought a non-green-friendly pistol, so upgrading to metal has never been about durability to me. Some guns such as Western Arms and Tanaka do need reinforcement before they can take green gas without damage.
