The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Suh-weet!! It'll be a blast having you up in our neck of the woods, Gareth!

It'll be a Farpoint to remember. Gareth and Spat in the same hotel. Totally epic.

We've also got Anthony (Eisbaer) and Drew coming down. You all are in trouble now.

Just a heads up, Trenches (http://www.trenchesonline.com/) will be debuting at Farpoint!

In case anyone here doesn't know, quite a few AL members worked on this project, which is a Sci Fi War movie (or web series) made by Disney/ABC.

So, anyone heading down to Farpoint, make sure you check out the showings!

It is playing on Friday @ 10:00 p.m. in the Greenspring 1 (main ballroom)

We'll probably JUST be arriving then.

I'm also bringing some Trenches costumes and props to display, as well as some gear for the Charity Auction.

From the Farpoint Blog:

Quote:
Our current plans are for 2 showings - one on Friday evening and one on Saturday afternoon. The Saturday showing will be followed by a Q&A with “Trenches” producer/director Shane Felux and other cast/crew.

However, the schedule (which seems to be for an unspecified single day????) says that the showing is at 11:00am in Dulaney 1 with the Q&A straight after in another room.

Don't worry, Gareth. Farpoint is not a huge, huge con. It shouldn't be a problem finding the panels.

Anyone attending Farpoint have an approved 501st costume in my size that I can borrow down there?

Need to get my active status back in place.

Thanks!

An officer costume is fine, but I doubt I would fit in yours!

I'll be wearing my scout armor most of the morning and half the afternoon Saturday, but I think the racing suit will be damp with sweat and not too pleasant to get into after I am done with it.

I'm roughly Spat sized.

5' 12", 200 something pounds of pure AWESOME.

It's going to be tough, as I really want to troop with everyone in the USCM gear as well, but I have to get in some 501st time this weekend.

:(

Does it matter what you wear? I will ask Rob but he has a black coveralls for INT. He is about 5'10' 200 something. What size shoe do you wear?

About an 11.5 or 12 shoe, but I have some of those cheap German Riding Boots I can bring down. Works with almost anything Star Wars.

I've still got Sean's flight suit from his TI (6'2" 190, but it fits me at 5'10"-not telling, but more than you). I doubt it would be as indecent on you as it was on him.

Thanks for the offer on the gear folks, but it looks like I'm going to have to actually gear up for real.

So I get to see if I can be in USCM gear AND TK armor in the same day and not pass out!
