The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

You know it's funny...

Literally 5 minutes ago I read Derek's post and was going to make a smartass comment about wanting a picture with Doc and Derek so I could look taller.

...But I stopped typing and hit my back button as I felt it wouldn't be very nice.

Tony you're mean!

Kidding.

Well Dragon Con 2010 is done and there were a nice bunch of new faces.

www.ColonialMarines.net is what I call a 'Gateway' (get it?) website for USCM costuming.
It lists people amongst our ranks, places to get armor as well as a hoard of other information useful to newbies looking into joining the USCM.

If you were at DC last weekend and would like to get yourself added please let me know.

*see two posts up but change 2010 to 2011*

Same as each year folks...were in post-con depression but its a time for me to update the numbers.

If you were at DC this year or are just a new marine let me know and we'll get you updated on the www.colonialmarines.net website.
I know we have about 5-10 people that need to be added, but of course its optional.

FYI we now have 228 marines!!
Enough for a whole colony I think!!

Plus with Aliens: Colonial Marines coming out and we the Aliens fandom soon to be on display for the world to see I thought it was time I renovated the site to get rid of the old html frames and go with some nicer css styling.

New Site

I need to come up with a design for listing the 228 marines we now have which will have to wait until after Dragon Con.
However for now the armor and weapons listings are up for testing as well as a few other pages.

I plan to replace some of the quotes with quotes from the tech manual to make it more 'USCM' rather than 'Aliens' themed.
There are also more sub-pages to add for accessories and tutorials etc which will come in time.

Most importantly I need people to scroll through and see if any of their images are being used.
Over the years I've saved quite a few photo's from here and I want to make sure they're OK to use but I don't recall the owners.

Thanks everyone!!
