The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

For the first time in 30 years the supreme court is going to decide if its legal or not for a city to decide, without a vote by the people, to outlaw guns. Currently cities like Newyork, Washington D.C. and various others have laws banning guns.....The question is if the supreme court says its okay, is that the first step in the motion to ban them all country wide???

The Supreme Court is set to habd down the ruling Thursday 10am Eastern.

Good luck... Here's hoping you don't end up like the UK, it's one of the major reasons I'm thinking of moving out the the states!

Another constitutional right headed for the toilet, in the name of "Safety".

They outlaw guns and the only ones that will have them will be outlaws.

If they do it's going to be fun to enforce....

Just don't let them repeat the UK situation, whereby they take away only the 'most dangerous' kit first, then they creep down the list until you can't have pea-shooters.

'First they came for the communists', and all that...

That is correct officer I sold them all to some guy in Montana.
In fact he picked them up yesterday, driving a green late model Ford.

It all comes down to the fact that they think it's going to keep guns out of the wrong hands .

Bull crap.

Those people will still have them and then I won't have anything to defend myself with, from those people.

I'm a proud gun toter. Its my right, I'd be suprised if it gets turned over.....too many patrotic people here.

Plus...I gotta have something to shoot at the Russians and North Koreans when they try to invade :P

There will be no invasion. In 5 years, China will just buy America outright.

We all need to learn to say, "Welcome to America, would you like fries with that?" in Mandarin and Cantonese.

Too right; some wise person once said that the International language of space would be 'Chinese', and I think it's quite probable...

I'm still living in hope that I can move to a flat in Los Angeles in 2019, become a detective and use ChinYen as a currency.

:D

Well they could do that with the gun ban in place so whats the big deal.

Banning guns for LEGAL Ownership does NOTHING to keep them from thoose who will commit crimes.

People need to pull their head out of the sand and realize it's the user not the tool that should be punished.

It was a legally bought gun, buuuddy.

In fact, last time I checked, every single gun on the black market was legal at one point in time.

Just wondering how that would work if they did ban guns in America? there must be millions of guns in private hands... would the goverment expect everyone to go to the local police station and hand them in? too much money is involed and groups like NRA have a lot of political power, maybe the odd city might get the ban but not all of America..

The Right to Bear Arms stemmed from the rule of the British Empire that did not allow the common person to own a firearm.

Common people were not allowed to hunt with firearms- and by not allowing just anyone (as opposed to the aristocracy) to own a firearm, it would prevent a revolution.

So one of the rights of everyone in the newly formed United States of America was the right to be able to put meat on the table with a gun. Which of course is quite outdated these days, but the principle has endured.

Your shoes? What about people like Suzanna Gratia Hupp ?

Nothing I say or anyone else will change the way you think.
So heck we might as well ban anything remotely harmful and that will solve all the problems right? Lets set up metal detectors on the streets, let the government think for you they know best don't they ?

Where do we stop ? guns? knives? baseball bats? Hammers?
Cars? Bottle? These things also hurt people don't they?

It is always easier to blame a tool then to look at the real problem.
