The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I am doing some research on what a proper USCM flag would look like.

This would be for next years Camp Dreadwood event. I was going to try and shoot for a frontier type setup.

I don't know if there was ever anything official made in any books, but for years, we used to have a flag during the dragoncon parade.

Pretty certain the use of the red dragoncon parade flag was a point of contention on one of the colonial marine facebook pages. The facebook group mods apparently were under the impression this was the official flag for use by anyone while at least one AL member was upset they weren't giving credit to the flag's designer (the AL's Rush? I think?).

This was all years ago and I don't remember all the names involved, but suffice to say, I don't think there is an "official flag of the USCM" in canon. You might say this flag below has sort of become the official flag? But might want to seek permission to use and not ruffle feathers. I don't know how many people are still keeping up with this. I am pretty certain none of the parties are active on the board anymore.

This was the flag carried for years in the DragonCon parade (specifically 2014 from this photo. When I returned in 2017 I don't think the flag was in the parade anymore. I may be mistaken, tho).

"rudolpht" posted this to the website "your props". No idea of origins or how many may have been made.

OK, I am not really finding any artwork of that paticular flag design. Do we know who did the original design of it? Or anyone that is willing to make a little money recreating the design for a 3'x5' flag digitally?

I actually got a buddy of mine to recreate the "rudolpht" flag in vector off the picutre posted here. Was gonna order myself a double sided flag. If it turns out well, I'll release the files to the board.

OK, so my buddy was able to recreate the flag in vector. I uploaded it to this flag site and i guess they list all the flags uploaded. So if it comes out good. Ill say use them. I ordered it double sided.

Thanks a bunch! This will help so many in the coming years that want their own.

I managed to get one made. It took almost 2 months to get the flag and thought the order got lost.

ITS HERE!!!!

They put the white grommet reinforcement unlike what the preview picture showed, but i dont think that really takes away from it. I had it printed doublesided, so basically its 2 prints they stiched together. Really gives it a heavy weighty feel to it. Overall, I like it. Got a United Americas flag from the same site to go with it to hang out front.
