The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

More information to come once it’s in my hands... but the PR HERO is done and ready for collection. Here’s a few teaser shots. Aluminium shrouds. Functioning air soft Thompson and M870. Genuine SPAS cage and grip. Working counter. Aluminium mag bases. Functioning rectractable stock. A complex build by Simon Smith (aka Sidewinder / aka SAS)...

He’s done a belter of a job here... complex build this one... the M870 is the type with a separate gas tank... the counter was one custom programmed by Majenko... SD Studios mag bases... SD studios front triangle and stock and 8 hole vent and GL front block. MATSUCORP shrouds. Noble sling and sling pad... original SPAS cage and grip...

Niiiiiice! Can yall get deactivated Thompsons over there? I know the replica gun thing is tricky......nevermind, I just answered my own question.

Yes you can get deactivated weapons here but if you used deacts in a build like this, you’d be cutting them up and adjusting their specification - especially things like the M870 and I think you’d have to have them re-proofed... all very costly and they may not even be able to function in such ways as cocking or moving trigger as current EU specifications dictate that they need to be utterly incapable of any function. So that’s a no, really.

This build incorporates functioning airsoft replicas. To buy them in this country these days you need a specific exemption under the Violent Crimes Reduction Act 2006 (VCRA).

Got the hero today. It’s amazing. Utterly amazing. Sidewinder / SAS has done a marvellous job. Will test fire it tomorrow

Good for you man, It looks like a beauty from the above pictures. Sometimes ya got to do what the law allows. When I built my live fire PR, I had to make two consessions. A) barrel length over 16 inches and B) deactivated 870 Because my old state didnt allow a masterkey. New plan is to get the paperwork together to shorten the barrel and build another GL out of a live fire 870.
