The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I am a costumer, ex make up artist.

Play ALIENS ACM whenever I get a chance and will probably never stop playing it.
I mean seriously how often do you get to move around Hadley's Hope or the SULACO being ripped apart by the deadliest creature in the universe?.

Have been stalking this site foe a little while now.
Currently a member of The Hunter Lair also.
Looking forward to making my USCM uniform and armour.

Kia ora!

Where are you based? I'm in Welly and I know of another fellow down Dunedin way that's working on getting kit together too.

Hey Septic!!!
I am stationed in Whitianga on the Coromandel peninsula.
Didn't you build a foam USCM armour this year for Armageddon?
Or am I thinking of somebody else?

Nope sorry, not me.
I've not been to an Armageddon yet (although, now that I see the beginnings of a local troop ... :) ).
Hmm, wonder how we track down the foam armour fellow?

I might possibly have some spare USCM bits too, depending on what you're needing. Feel free to PM / email me.

HI. My board name is Moose. I have been a SW 501st member for the last 3 years. Finally was able to get a colonial marine outfit together.
Looking forward to getting my first colonial marine troop in.
Is this the main forum for this group, or is there other forums that keep track of local troops?

Good morning to all,

My name is Elliott and I am 20 from the UK :)

I have loved the Alien franchise ever since i watched the first film when i was 4 ! :) (Epic Parents I think!)

My favorite in the (Movies) for them is Alien 3, just something to do with the imagery of a dark corporate future of Fiorina 161 sold the film for me :) + The music is Brilliant !

My favorite in the Video game side of it Would be "Alien vs Predator 2" (2001) as the LV-1201 Colony story was very enjoyable and had some great moments!
I am a Weyland-Yutani patriot and have done two small costume projects so far that I would very much to enjoy sharing with you in the next few days, feedback from such a great community like yourselves would be incredible :D !

I am currently working on Weyland-Yutani APE Suit / Dog catcher commando Unit from the Fiorina Operation and wouldn't mind some pointers on the Helmet, everything else is covered :)

--------

About myself ? I am a Assistant Manager of a Co-op Store in my home town, I do enjoy my work even if it sometimes be tedious and basic to other occupations, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and especially geeking out with movies and many games on the PC.

Thankyou for welcoming me here to Aliens Legacy

Its a Privilege \o/

Regards.

Elliott

I already posted an introductory thread in UAMC, but checking in here to say hello.

About me: 39, from Oregon. A buddy of mine recruited me here. Big fan of space sci-fi and fantasy. Star Wars is my first love, followed by Battlestar Galactica and GI JOE. I've been involved in the Star Wars costuming community for 9 years and the GI JOE community for close to 4 years now.

Looking to expand my horizons by doing a uniformed Colonial Marine pilot. In fact, this was the easiest costume to put together. Most of my gear I had from other costumes. I just needed a new flightsuit and patches. Since there is a Wizard World convention coming to Portland in a couple of weeks, I should be good to go in representing Aliens Legacy.

Cheers!

Hi, I'm Dave from Indianapolis.

I'm a fan 1/6 figures, scifi and horror films, and guitar playing. I consider myself very fortunate to have acquired some of the Hot Toys Aliens figures before they became $$$ collectible.

I'm going to start slowly on acquiring USCM gear and I appreciate all the info on this site.

Cheers !

Hello all! I found this forum, through The RPF, and thought I should join! I'm a huge H.R.Giger fan,

so Alien, and Aliens, are 2 of my favorite movies. I have interest in alot of different movie props, but

now I'm thinking of getting a Pulse Riffle for my collection (and more!). Thought I would check out the forum,

and see what I could learn.

Hey folks,

My name is Jacob. I've been browsing and lurking this forum for a little under a year now. Finally decided to create an account.

I'm a 23-year old post-baccalaureate studying Mobile & Web Application Development at a college located in the barren wasteland of the Upper Peninsula.

As with anyone on this board, I'm a fan and collector of anything pertaining to Aliens. I'm real big into collecting screen prints and armor pieces. Still looking to get my hands on a PR but that'll have to wait until I have the funds.

Cheers,

Jacob

I've been meaning to introduce myself here for a while, but by now some of you know me already. I was totally blown away when I first saw Alien in about 1980 (still for me by far the best of the series). Just about everything about the film impressed me, especially the interior of the Nostromo, which prompted me to build models of some of the interior sets which some of you saw at the National Space Centre last November. Aliens is also a very good movie, but I can quite happily forget 3 & 4.

In 1985 I discovered American Football and was instantly hooked, and I played from then until 2003, retired, played again in 2006, retired and played again in 2009, before finally having to accept that at 47 I was getting too old for it.

In 1994 I also got involved with heritage railways, and I've been doing it ever since, working on restoring old diesel locomotives.

Hi everybody,
I’m a newbie to the forum but a long time fan of the franchise.
I’m a 37 year old Australian currently living in Ireland with my wife and son. Despite my insistence to the contrary, my wife is adamant the 4-months old is too young to introduce to the franchise.
Rest assured, I will continue to fight the good fight on this core educational principal.
I dabble in a little bit of fan fiction and you’ll see my post titled Aliens: Origin in the general discussion area. I also currently working on project related to the Alien universe but not featuring the titular character, but this is a slow boil and I won’t have it completed for a few months.
Apart from that, I’m working on my costume with Spat kindly constructing my armour and looking forward to getting the gear all together.
Thanks for having me on board.
Darrah
