The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

As you know I'm exhibiting my Aliens collection at the NSC for the Halloween event and as I won't be able to get there until between 4 and 5pm I'm looking for a few (maybe three or four) volunteers who can make themselves available when we arrive to help unload the truck and help me set up.

There will be a lot of lifting and carrying, although most of the flightcases have wheels and are fairly light so it's not too bad, plus it's a flat load-in. No slopes or steps.

Rather than be situated deep in the main building as usual, the collection will be in the Shuttle Suites this time, which some of you will remember are the meeting rooms adjacent to the 'forecourt' area opposite the Challenger Suite.

If you're involved directly in the Alien Encounter, either as an actor or as behind-the-scenes tech support then chances are you'll be in rehearsals when we arrive so...

I'm only looking for folks who aren't involved in the Alien Encounter.

If you're keen to help let me know and I'll get back to you.

Thanks in advance!

Harry

Thanks Chef.

Anyone else free or is everyone else who's going to Leicester involved in the AE?

Harry

I'll have James with me... He's not too clever with heavy lifting, but stuff that can be wheeled about I'm sure he can handle.

I'm not entirely sure if I am in the AE or not... I'll be in the Xeno. How hard can it be to 'jump out and scare the bejeezus out of people"??

I'm sure we can nip out for the short time it'll take to get everything squared away.

Hello Harry,

I'm also involved in the AE,
but if you need someone for a few hours table duty or loading on Sunday let me know.

Cheers,
Frank

It's more like grabbing a moving target in the dark, and trying psychically predict and accommodate the Marines' "I've just had a great idea" changes that are discussed in another room 30 seconds before a run starts ... ;)

Send a PM to skapunkninja with a time for your arrival - I think he wants a definate PM to make sure people are understanding the deal.

Harry - what sort of time are you packing up on Sunday?

Relatively early I think, probably around 10am as the guy from the NSC who's driving the van doesn't want to get back to Leicester too late.

I just need to know what time to arrive... I can adjust the leaving time at my end. If I leave at 0700hrs, then I should (I say should.... barring any traffic or mishaps) arrive at the NSC for Midday.
