The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Good evening guys and gals thought id better get a introduction post up before nocternus kicks my ass lol.

Well where to start hmmm I've been costuming for the last 3 or so yrs with various costuming group firstly with a tk (stormtrooper) then with my current charity group whom I've been a member of for just over 2 yrs have built various costumes (iron man, Jason voorhees, freddy Kruger, ww2 us army ranger and a few fun based ones) I also dabble with various props at the moment I rebuilding a nemisis mini gun (working) for a member of the group I'm with.

My marine build is well underway at this moment in time I have

Trousers
Jacket
Trouser twists
Boots
All patchs for uniform
And pulse rifle (snow wolf) which is all but painted as I write this

Armours on order as well as all the shiny extras which I will post up as soon as I have them to hand will throw up progress pics as soon as I get stuff sorted and very excited to get it all finished and ready to be able to do my first drop with ukcm.

Hey chap.

Welcome. I'm looking forward to seeing your progress pics! But don't feel like you need a complete costume (or any costume at all) to come to a drop and be a member of the UKCM!

It's a pet hate of mine or my love of costuming that turning up to events in civvies puts a downer on the day for me but this being said I'm aiming to attend the space centre event in October with you guys with full kit. :-) to say I'm excited for this is a true understatement as I've seen the ukcm at many cons I've attended and have always loved the costume from the moment I saw it on the big screen (yes I'm that old lol) and now it's becoming a reality!!!!

Good point kris :-)

Am working with a good friend whom designs 3d props for a living and have asked him to design the add on section that will attach to a denix (full weighted and metal handgun) colt 1911 or if anyone can think of a better base gun I would appreciate the help. But I looking to get this 3d printed once the design has been built by my friend. The gun itself is based off the one from the colonial marines game so is used in the alien world and would make an awesome alternative to the vp-70. Will keep you posted on the progress on this just trying to source a seamstress to custom make a holster exactly like the one used for the 70 but sized to fit this one.
