The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Anyone up for it this year?
Europes biggest military show, and a perfect chance for a few days camping, drinking heavily and general mischief and merryment. Not to mention fhe ideal place to get all them hard to find pieces of kit :)

Its at Folkstone racecourse this year

I've a ticket but haven't picked a day yet.

Looking forward to seeing if there's any hard to find bits and pieces for sale. To that end, are most merchants there / sales tables cash-only?

Yup. I'd stick my neck out and say that close to zero merchants will be set up to take cards. I dunno about the new venue, but you're unlikely to find an ATM either...

I've sorted a van to sleep in, and I'm trying to find some UPS batteries to run my beer fridge... :)

I'm first home because I have to work early tomorrow. :(

Despite very changeable and stormy weather, that was a lovely weekend. Met up with good friends and drank almost cold beer in a muddy field! Big machines, big bangs and that smell of old engines and old canvas...

Rich granted my childhood wish by letting me drive his Jeep, and then the same (900kg) Jeep did an amazing job of pulling my (1900kg) hire van out of the deep sticky mud that formed the main junction on the site.

Was awesome to see you G :) I chickened out of the jeep driving experience but it was an immense show. Definitely need to stay longer next time though :)
