Hello Lindsay,
can you give any indication as to when the result of the voting for the screening at Pinewood will finally be released?

Also you may wish to know that the reappearance of the, apparently still active, voting page on your website after the closing date and a “results soon message” was posted is causing concern amongst the inevitable “conspiracy theorists” which all fan groups contain!

Thanks for your email.

We are hoping to announce the result of the Pinewood vote very shortly. We are in fact just awaiting final confirmation of the title from the rights holders - should be imminent! I can reassure you that the conspiracy theorists need not be concerned - the voting conducted over social media, through the Luna website and indeed by the venue themselves will provide a clear winner.

Make sure you join the mailing list and we will update you the minute we have the news! We look forward to seeing you there for a night of cinema under the stars at Pinewood!

Hi Alan,

Its good to hear from you again. I know you are all desperate to find out the result! I've spoken to George and he's said voting was extended because it was generating lots of good interest and marketing for the event. I can't tell you which film is in the lead at the moment, George has instructed me to keep my lips sealed!

Feel free to keep the conspiracy theories going, I've just got a bonkers boss who wanted to keep the voting open a bit longer!

Hi Lyndsay,
It’s now the 25th a month before the showing is due to take place. For those of us who live outside London and the Home Counties planning a trip to London can take a little time so it would be nice to know when the result is likely to be announced. So that the requisite tickets can be ordered, time off work booked etc.

Hi Alan,

In the last couple of minutes I've had the news you have been waiting for! Aliens is confirmed as the chosen film for Pinewood Studios. After over 3000 votes across the website and social media platforms, Aliens has emerged victorious and as such is the film chosen as "the greatest ever made at Pinewood Studios" and will be exclusively screened in the gardens of Pinewood on our giant screen on the 25th July!

I hope it isnt too late for the fans of this film to come along. Thank you all for your patience, I know its been a long time coming.
