The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

The PR company has confirmed that they want Xenos plus three Marines. Therefore the list is now reduced to:

Pug50
nocternus
skapunkninja
Voltane

Apologies to everyone else - unless any of the guys above pull out, you're out of luck.

A successful event and I think we were a big hit.

Earlier in the day, the Marines were on crowd-control and guarding doors.

After 7pm, they ran an Alien Encounter-style event. This was an exercise in rescuing success from the jaws of defeat (no rehearsals, and ... "interesting" tech) - it really looked like it just would work. But it kinda did! It also goes to show the amazing thing that Geordi, Jon Reason, Malika and everyone else involved managed to make happen at the NSC.

We got back to my place at 2am. Rich got up to drive to work at 5:45am ...

As for photos - there is a press embargo on the event until 12th December, so I'm not sure we're meant to post pictures which give much away. But here a few phone pictures from a similar event: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/2711zzed7magtvg/DwAeOiY-NW

Talking of giving stuff away - I spent 15 minutes playing the Single-player campaign. Can't say anything about it, but I think it will please the vast majority of fans going by what i saw ...

Down, clear and now with added sore throat. (no, not that)

Had fun and my first glimpse of the multiplayer impressed. :D

I wouldn't hold your breath - An event in Leicester was suggested. With the London-centric nature of the games press, Leicester might as well be on Mars.

As it is, some of the UK press mumbled about Islington being too far out ...

Originally, Sega wanted to do so etching with Alien War, but given the unfortunate fact that the current iteration of the show isn't technically "Aliens" related, I suggested a full on AE at Leicester as a substitute.
Not sure why that didn't happen - Malika, did anyone get in touch to ask about it or did they just device London was more convenient?

Either way, more events to promote the game would be nice but I suspect that's about it for Sega's official hype machine... We'll see.

I'm not sure my armor is going to fit in with all the coats, socks, hats, long johns, gloves, scarves, and sweaters. Oh, and shoes. Let's see... I'll be there for 10 days so I'll probably be bringing 12-15 pairs of shoes.

Glad it was a good time! Can't wait to see pics.
