The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

So awoke around 13:30pm, had a mixed sleep but will do until tonight.

Anyways, Finally back home and it was nice to see Mum, Dad, Doggies and kitties. Lots of fuss and cuddles.

I just want to take the time to say thank you to all the UKCM and especially Gareth Ellner and John 'Claymore' Craig for karting us around for the last two days. You guys are amazing. Especially Gareth for working his arse off on getting us all there in one piece.

The Holiday was immense, got to do Dragon Con and walk around in Prometheus. Everyone liked him. Got to chill by the pool with camel packs full of JD and Coke, Rum and Coke and Beer. We all fed on crap which threw most of us off, especially me.

Got a bad stomach while i was out there and a cold. But thank you Amy Jo Kimbrell for looking after me. And hosting a BBQ at yours. Midnight swim and booze. You and Paul were wonderful hosts and cooks.

Overall, i've never laughed so much in my life and i just want to say thanks to all the Americans/Canadians and Brits for your company.

Love you all.
xx

All in the above title!

Scapey, down and clear and rested.
More thoughts once I've finished tidying, had a proper bath and gotten the kids back to bed AGAIN.

So, yeah. Another Dragon*Con comes and goes... That's me got 2 under my belt now.

This one wasn't as good as the first for a number of reasons - Hopefully all of which will be non-issues next year with hindsight and more forward planning.
But, niggles aside, it was still another utterly amazing week-and-a-bit.

I have new friends, new ink, and a beautiful new girlfriend.
From the moment I hooked up with the 'Wall Crew that were coming, it was an experience - One I'd been dying to share with them for the past 12 months!

So many amazing moments - Lauren's Liz Shaw costume ( Which was kinda a last-minute decision ), wandering round and seeing the reaction to her Ironette... Hell, just the feeling of seeing her in the car park for the first time since Charleston. BUTTERFLIES! [/notsoppy]
Ahem,yeah, so...

The look on Bolty's face when I told him to go grab a flagpole for the parade...
Sharpie mustaches.
Pipe mustaches!
SO MUCH PENIS!
Harems.
Punch-bug-Jayne-hat.
JP and Julie's weapons-grade cherries.
"Man, this sucks... I wanted a flask, but Taj had stopped taking orders when I asked her for one."
Sheepie-polo in the pool.
"PUDDEMONNAGLASS!"
"Ooh, she's hot! Hi, Foxy Lady!" "Remove the 'Y', dude."
Oppan Gangnam Style!
"Charlie! Come with us to Candy Mountain!" "Hey, Bronies!" "No, we'r-... Sod it. Close enough! YAY BRONIES!"
Dom's post-parade announcement regarding the untimely demise of a somewhat famous junior practitioner of the arcane arts...
"Look! It's Deadpuddle!"
Spattle being won by default - WHERE DID THE REST OF YOU GET TO, YOU PUSSIES?! You just feared Bolty's sexiness and my Hentacle of doom!
Rum.
"Steve, I really wanna put my face in Julie's boobs, but I'm shy." "HEY, JULIE - LAUREN WANTS TO MOTORBOAT YOU!"
Moar rum.
Even moar rum.
"Scapey, we found a tattoo place near the hotel!" "Really, Callum? REALLY? You want to go to 'Fast Freddie's' to get tattooed? ON PURPOSE?!"

More to come...
But for now - genuinely, I love you guys like family, and I mean it with all my heart when I say again that my life is a million times better now that you're all in it. I love it when someone new joins our ranks, and the feeling when we're all together is near indescribable.
Thanks to you all for that - And special thanks to Gareth as ever for his skills at cat-herding, and to Paul and Amy for having us at their lovely parties.
And to Lauren for saying "Yes" and making me happier than I've been for a long long time.

Posts like this just make me even more jealous that I couldn't go.

Sounds like you had a great time. Though I'm noticing a serious lack of pictures. ;)

I hope you're feeling better now. I was happy to help and I'm glad that you had fun! :D

Am I the only one that does not think the cherries are weapons grade? ... And we were happy that everyone enjoyed themselves, just as we did.

----

With that said. I had an amazing time, despite some spots of black. I loved having everyone at our home (now dubbed Munkey Manor) for lottsa food and booze. Thank you all for coming to DragonCon, then Columbus and putting up with my crazy family/kids. (Clay - I LOVED that staring contest with Georgie.)

Special thanks to...

Gareth - for being who you are and doing what you do.

Kris - for loaning me is armour (does anyone have a picture of me in the armour - for Kris? I failed on that end.)

Paul - just because, you big crazy psycho Munkey.

Love ya'll.

Now where's my damn stick!?

OK I thought I write up what it was like.

One person sum up this Dragon*Con in one word very well "Drama*Con". It had some Drama in it, but than that life and what can you do. Plus I was with my best friends and lots of SoCo so it was not too bad.

The people were great alike always and talking to old and new friends was great.

The Pool was in higher demand this year in different hotels that was great. It was great fun but the pool in the Shedon was a bit salty!!!!!

I was very thankful of Gareth and John for driving us about as I know now I would not like driving and would of see red a few times. Plus my swearing would be too much for everyone and plus people in the US have guns!!!!

Amy was a great host letting us eat and drink at her lovly home with your friends and family. It was great and Paul cooking is still the best. The only problem was the heat that was too much for me and get idea of Gearth on getting a pool for Amy back yard !!!!!

Staying the extra days in Columbus was a great idea as when I got back home I did not need the extra week to recover. Plus seeing the USA in a new light was an eye opener.
The shotting range was one off my high's duing my hoilday as this was great. I only wise they had SMG, Shotguns and Rifles but I think next time I will look for a outdoor range.

I am sady and happy to be back home, I will miss everyone until I see them again.

Cheer's Steve
