The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Sgt Tony: the new site is looking pretty good! Two quick things I noticed though: first, the link for patch locations just opens the page you are already on in a new window. Second: you have Spat listed for screen accurate BDU's but not Aaron's HORPAT.
And I just realized I haven't submitted my info for the Charter yet either. Oops!

Until its live it's still a work in progress ;)

The marine listings for everywhere but the US have been updated.
The US is ongoing but will take a little more time.

I did not re-add France or the Netherlands because they were all missing photo's unfortunately.
I e-mailed the individuals however requesting photo's but going forward we won't be adding new people unless they submit a photo.

So...if you were listed on the old site without a photo you will not be added to the new site until you submit one.
I sent e-mails out but many of them got returned so its up to you to send them over.

I've also removed the contact information because we want people to come here and talk, plus spam harvesting was always an issue.

Those with ALG and MVM awards will also be noted once its all good to go.

We're getting there!!!

Still in SoCal for the duration. 2014 is a possibility :D

Now I realize I need a good picture of a finished costume. But I really want to get my hands on some Spataflage or HORPAT so everything looks great :D

So..... are people officially calling the new BDU's "Spataflage"? Should I just accept that?

I like SpaDU's better too, but as long as people are talking about it, right?

My personal favorite Spat pormanteau (Sparmanteau?) is still Splamethrower.

That looks like a cool event...but is it really sci-fi/horror related?

From C2E2's website:

Quote:
The Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo – also known as C2E2 – is a convention spanning the latest and greatest from the worlds of comics, movies, television, toys, anime, manga and video games.

Since Aliens and the Colonial Marines span all of those except television, anime, and manga, I think it's still an appropriate venue for our fandom.

If you want on then just submit your details via the handy-dandy submission form on the site.

Spataflage or SpaBDU's...whatever you decide I'll list

Dom, you're updated. Thanks!!

The link is now just http://www.colonialmarines.net, the new site is up and working with updates coming along.

We had over 200+ marines but while updating I took down those without photo's and sent e-mails requesting photos.
So we're down to about 193 right now.

ONLY marines with photo's in costumes will be added.
One marine requested his photo be removed, but his information remain.
