The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I plan to game with mine fairly regularly. By the sound of it your PR has some heavier aftermarket parts on it as mine doesn't seem to feel as heavy as that. Could be wrong though.

I definitely agree about the mag change with the existing parts, but when Noble is sorted I hope to be getting some of his mag bases which should make things much quicker. :D

Cheers.

John. :)

Mine had Matsu metal stock and barrel, real steel Spas cage and a Maruzen Spas12.

The G&P kit is far more practical for skirmishing, but still more fiddly and awkward than the likes of an M4, AK or G36...

@ John, those Mag Bottoms are a blessing to ANY Pulse Rifle that plans on Airsofting. Not only that, but they make mag changes look much more realistic too! Removing that original cover was just a pain (and mine fell off a lot)

Those aftermarket parts really ramp up the weight Scapey. At 8.5 kilos that's getting up towards the weight of an old L4 LMG or WWII era BREN gun! ... I think I'll leave mine stock after all for gaming purposes!

As I'm left handed mag changes have the potential to be pretty quick, with my index finger easily able to reach the magazine release catch. It's the stock magazine base that's the real bugbear as Bazookafied says. With some of Noble's bases I reckon it'll be much more skirmishable & only marginally slower than the other models you mention. Just hope he's able to make them for me soon.

Cheers.

John. :)

Did anyone actually preorder and buy one of these? If so, what is it like?

Look at how he's holding that thing!
That doesn't bode well to me :|

It LOOKS good, granted... I may still try to snag one, light or not.

Have you read the comments on that vid?

"I'd just cut up a spas and bingo you've got a masterkey"
"Replace da spas wit a real one lol!"

Anyway,
Looks a good colour to me, darker than the previous kits. If only I had some money!

You know, the normal airsoft manual/saftey leaflets.
Customs tend to open and have a look at anything dodgy so they'll see it's a BB gun, plus the x-ray should indicate it too.
The only problem I could see is if your not VCA exempt and they look your name up on the database. They have the legal right to either return the gun or destroy it in that case.

One of my mates ordered some m4 veriant from the US and used his mum's address as he'd be away at work when it would get delivered. His mum isn't VCA exempt and she got a "we destroyed your parcel" letter from customs.

Exactly maybe someone could give some money to somebody who is not exempt as a gift then one day they could give you a PR as a gift I believe that's not against the law

*Technically* You can gift
...but the very fact you've handed money over makes it a transaction, regaurdless of if you send it as a gift. Something for something = Transaction.

I personally would just save up and go play some airsoft games and then apply for the UKARA thingy. That way you don't have to potentially put someone else at risk of action, plus you have fun :)

I'll be blunt - Stop looking for loopholes in the VCRA please, folks.
We fought long and hard to reduce the level of shafting that we got to what it was, and if folk take the piss, there's still a very real chance we'll get even further screwed by the government. The VCRA is absurd, it does nothing to stop real criminals, but it makes airsofters' lives more difficult. But we need to abide by it.
