here is how I have done it...
After cutting all the pieces down, I used two of these things (curtain pole holders)... availiable in B&Q or any other hardware store!.

Cut the end off so I was left with two tubes, these already had a screw hole in them used to hold onto the curtain pole that is usually used, this screw would be used to hold the "curtain pole" adapter onto the shotgun racking section, and also to hold the spas handle.

I was worried this was not strong enough so I reinforced the screw holes a little by using two extra nuts and sticking them on used some "JB weld" (i think its like a epoxy glue, mix 2 parts together and it hardens).

It holds very well and has been racked more times than I can count!
