The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

It's not unusual for those of us from the South (and used to the sauna that is Georgia) to take 2-4 showers a day. Georgia is frakkin HOT and HUMID, add on top of that the simple fact that you're in Atlanta sifting through 30,000+ people, half of which have horrid grooming habits....showers are a must. Stinky people are not!

I suggest shower often, grab you some Axe body spray (women love that stuff) and use the hell outta that shite. :P

If you need a sleeping bag, I can bring one up. The offer is there, if you'd like. Would be less that you'd have to pack and so forth...

You want hot and humid. Try Nassau! Air so think you struggle to breath as you get off the plane.
If I can handle that and not break sweat... Hotlanta should be easy.

Having said that... I'm not saying I WON'T shower... lol

Your super-human homeostasis system and floral-scented BO aside - it's still impractical to have costumes hung up in the bathrooms.

I was trying to bring the discussion of sweat to a logical conclusion.

Alas, if you went to Nassau (which has lower average-high temperatures and humidity in any month than Atlanta does in Aug ... ) and didn't sweat then you either have a serious metabolic disorder or, more likely, you can't smell your own perfume. Most people can't. I certainly can't.

Everyone, please, shower! If everyone at Dragon*Con did, it would be a big improvement!

Tip for Xenos/Preds: The coldest place at D*Con is the table-gaming rooms - almost as if the hotels deliberately crank the AC in those specific rooms for some reason ... But put a peg on your nose! ;)

Thankyou very much! :) I'll give you a shout nearer the time if I really can't get one into my bags.

In other news... Sour tea... The milk is off :/

You've obviously never been to GA before. Nassau's avg temps and humidity is like south Florida. FL ain't got nothin on GA. Also, Nassau is an island, with sea breezes that help to cool things off. Don't expect that here. (I would know.)

That's all I'm sayin', just trying to be helpful :)

Looking forward to it.
My Trek top has particularly thick shoulders to get a pretty acurate quilting effect.
That was hot in Glasgow in November....

Just a question.

I payed for my Dragon*Con ticket on the 16/09/2010 for $70.00 but I have not got the card yet. Has any one got a card yet????

Ok I think a bed is needed due to the fact only one suitcase this year as room for a sleeping bag is a real pain. Last, last year we had two suitcases and the second one had the sleeping bag, Which I used just the once as the other three was loud as sleeping so I had to go to the floor with four large pillows. Just a good tip, if you do have a sleeping bag gap the spare pillows!!!

But I do want a bed and I do not care who I sleep with, but no one the snores.

I think the rooms as the Marriot should be for the aliens and predators as changing is alot easier. The second room change could be a relax area or a hub of information to find out what happening. This is the felling I am getting on this and the rest on a cheaper hotel.

Cheer's Steve

OK. I lied - I just this minute went down to check my mailbox and found something. I ordered mine months ago - yours should be on it's way very soon, Steve.
