The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Was HCG talking about the limited OD rifles or all of them? :(

The website says 'Wait List' for both versions.

Well...

I'm hoping this means the first shipment/orders of rifles is completed and they are waiting for more rifles from China.

Or did all the rifles get sent from China at once?

At any rate... I'm too paranoid to order one, so I'll just have to see if one pops up at a local comic store.

Droop or no droop- I'd still want one. :)

(But I'd definitely be straightening it out if I did get a droopy one  )

Until then I'll be happy with my Matsuo v 1.0. 8)

Kevin

I know the paper work say dont pull the triggers. But i can confirm that the first time you pull the main trigger it dose fell strange maybe brakes a paint seal. but ofter that pulls fine cant see any reason why you cant pull that trigger all day long.

Hi Guys,

Mine arrived today. Looks great except the mag wont come out - it looks like the batteries (and cover?) has come out inside the unit so the mag wont come out more than an inch and I dont want to force it. Ive tried wiggling and (gently) trying to push the batteries back into place but nothing doing. :(

Bloody frustrating as it looks superb. Ive sent a note to HCG

Cheers

Jez

yup - I wiggled and wiggled upside down and after about an hour and a half I could just see the battery cover so managed to get a thin bladed knife down inside and VOILA - the mag came out!

Ive taped the cover into place now as (certainly on mine), the battery cover was poorly attached. Thats China for you.

I'm a happy bunny now (well a happy bunny toting a M41-A Pulse Rifle!)

Cheers

Jez

How strong are these magnets that hold the magazine in place?

If you were to troop with this rifle is there any fear of the magazine falling out?

They're strong, but any major jiggling and it comes out.
I wouldn't run with it, but for walking they'd hold.

If you're trooping with it a small piece of clear Scotch tape over the magplate/body seam might be in order then to prevent embarrassing mag drops and penalty push-ups ;)

Mine was left at the neighbours as I was at work, so they now know what a geek I am. :D

I ordered a BB one, so was hoping for no droop, but unfortunately mine has got the dreaded slope. :(

I also had the problem of the mag refusing to come out, but after much jiggling and swearing it eventually freed itself.

The stock locking pin is jammed down too, so no fixed stock positions for me. Tried to get a small screwdriver down the side of the pin, but it's a very close fit and I'm worried I'll damage the stock if I press too hard. :?

Pics to follow once I've sorted them out and uploaded them.

HCG have us over a barrel with the lack of 'spare' PRs, as the only way to resolve the matter is to return the PR for a full refund, which then allows them to sell it on to someone else who might not mind about the droop. :?

I'll be keeping mine, but only for that reason, as if they did have extra ones I'd be after a replacement.

My G&P PR feels more solid too, so the HCG won't be carried on Drops.

I believe someone has already done that and said the resin parts do not survive.

I've yet to see pictures though....the RPF thread I read it on has turned into a bit of a cesspool.

..been having some problems with getting mine. After I called on 12 August to sort out my credit card issues (the previous card number being used was no longer valid as I had to replace that card a few months back) my updated info was never passed on so it sat in limbo. After a few calls and emails it's been sorted out and I just got confirmation of the final processing of the order. ...So it should be shipping today, or Monday.

I also asked if I could switch my order from the OD version to the Brown Bess version (given that the BB versions seem to suffer less from the "droop"). I fully expected to hear "No," given that the BB version is wait listed... instead I was told "Sure, no problem."

I can't help but wonder why was I able to switch so easily?

I fixed the stock locking pin. :D

I noticed that it seemed tilted towards the shroud, so put a small bit of card against the end of the shroud (to protect the paint) and then used the end of a metal hair comb to gently lever against the pin head and it popped up. :)

Works fine now. :)

The GL grip is a little loose in its fully forward position, but it has a good 'racking' feel to it when pumped forwards/backwards.

The mag base seems as secure as it needs to be, but as others have said, I wouldn't run with it. :)

Can't recall the proper name for it, but the ejector port slide/bolt/lever slides to and fro really well, giving a bit of firmness to the action, better than my G&P one. :)

Apart from the droop (which I may attempt to fix at a later date), I'm happy with it. :)

Pics of before the fix of the pin, showing how it was close to the shroud (top pic) and then one to show how I fixed it (bottom pic):

You were probably able to switch runs because there's only 200-ish of the OD ones and 1K of the BB version. :)

Yeah, but if the BB version is wait listed then that would mean that all available stock was sold. ...no?

Haven't heard that. I've only read that people don't "believe" that it will work, or that there might be other consequences.

Then again, I've not seen lear60man's PR after he left it in the sun either. But at least, he did claim that it worked. I haven't seen anyone claim that it didn't work. or destroyed their PR or something...

Oh man, I'm a little pissed now.

:x

My OD pulse rifle suffers from slight droop. Okay, that's one thing. But the clip is falling apart. I just got this bad boy last Friday and its sat safely in a drawer. I go to take a look at how bad the droop is, and the pieces of the clip's paint is chipping off. The clip looks like it would split in two if the battery wires weren't holding it together. I need to post pictures so I can show you guys.

Do you think HCG will replace the clip at least?
