The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Sarah's not feeling her best so the trip to London isn't appealing, so there is the possibility of a spare ticket for Saturday.

I was planning on getting there by train, but our trains have lots of reasons for not moving, including snoes on the line.

My car looks like this at the moment:

So it's looking doubtful I'll make it at this rate.

London amazes me - this happened last year: a few flakes of snow fall and the city closes down. 5-10 times as much snow would cause no measurable disruption in Aberdeen. Normal life continues when 20+ times as much snow falls.

That said, last time I looked the snow is due to clear up tomorrow so I don't think we need to be alarmist.

Medway got hit hard overnight, with between 4 and 8 inches of snow.

The side roads around my house are all currently sheets of hard icy slush.

If we get enough snow overnight I should be able to get to the train station and then if the trains are running, to Waterloo.

If no/not enough snow falls by tomorrow, I won't get out of my road. :|
