The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hello all. My name's Xio, I'm a Baltimore-based girl who could probably recite most if not all of the colonial marine lines in Aliens. I've got a Vasquez costume that I've worn at one con so far, and my smartgun is partially made out of coat hangers and a coffee tin. Pleased to meet everyone. :>

Hi, I'm here because 1: I'm a big Alien series fan, and 2: My friend and I want to make our own version of the film for fun. (It's not going to be a lot different, in fact, as fans, we want to make it very close to the original). I found this forum while searching for Alien info, and I'm glad I did :D . Looking forward to being around!

Brent (my name's not really Galen, it's just my username).

Hello all, I'm Mawr and I've been on a Alien(s) tear lately. Been a fan of the movies since seeing Alien in the Theater back in the day. Loved Aliens and the Colonial Marines. I was never much into props and costuming but I collected militaria and then one day after watching Aliens again, I realized that I had the beginning of a Drop Ship helmet but I didn't have the guts to cut it up since it was practically new. Well, I'm over that now but after a move, it and it's beat up brother are in storage. After rediscovering the Alien movies, I believe I'm gonna have to make a trip to the storage unit and start unloading boxes......

Been lurking for a couple of weeks and seems like a nice place to hang out. I'm quiet but not afraid to ask questions. And yes, I've found the Drop Ship Helmet build thread. Thanks in advance for the help that I've already found in the threads.

This is actually a re-introduction. I signed up here more than a year ago. I just recently received a set of USCM body armor that I am repainting, hopefully in time for DragonCon.

I'll do it. No, really. Ask around, you'll be hard pressed to find somebody who says I won't... She's 16 too, dunno if that's okay with you or not, but it's fine with me. :P

To the new(er) recruits, welcome aboard!

Welcome back Doug! :D

Another familiar face around here!

For anyone who might be new and doesn't know Doug- aside from being a Colonial Marine in the original Alien War in the UK- he was the Marine model in the Technical Manual! 8)

Hey Doug,

Glad you made it back mate!

Just as a heads-up Doug we now have a sales section called the 'Base PX' (apparently it's some kind of military term meaning 'shop'), anyway you'll be able to post your ad in there but because you're technically a new member you need a few posts under your belt first - shouldn't take you long though now you're here.

Cheers!

Harry
