The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I don't quite follow you. You can send friend requests to a certain player regardless of the game over Xbox Live, if that is what you are saying?

Well, I haven't done alot of Live playing other than Halo2. That's set up to send/receive Friend Requests. It'll tell you when so and so is online and what game they're playing. And I know how to do it on Halo, but when I played Call of Duty 2 online, it was totally random who you played.

Maybe Scareb can tell us better w/ GoW, when I went online to join a co-op game, it had a choice of joining or setting one up. It didn't give me an option as to pick a friend.

Maybe I just don't know how to do it right. I know that with GRAW you can have a clan / team setup.

Soooo, educate me! I'd much, much rather play w/ fellow Colonial Marines!!! :D

Yes, Halo 2 had a very good set up in terms of menus and online play. Gears of War is a bit more complex to join friends, yet still possible.

First what we want to do is establish a "friend request" to one another. This is done by either me or you going into the 360 menu (Pressing the silver x while playing GoW) and once signed in to Xbox Live, pressing the friends button. Once that is up click "add friend" and spell out "Ripper714". (I would do this, however, I do not know your gamertag.)

Second, I or you go create a co-op game, or straight multiplayer match. Once this is done, the host invites the other player to the match. Simple!

Does anyone know of any free downloads for GRAW on the 360? The only thing I've found have been a couple demos and trailers, but no maps, skins, loadouts, etc.

I'm not sure about free downloads, but there's a huge one that you pay about $15-19 for and it gives you a bunch of new maps and some old ones that are re-done in different times of day. It's pricey, but really worth it!!

Played it alot!!

Ok guys, there's Online Co-Op and online versus. Online Co-Op looks to be 2 players only with each person taking the role of one of the main characters. Online versus can be done with several friends. Basically you just have to create a public game, and add private slots to the game. These private slots can be filled only by people that the game master invites. So for instance, If i create an online team deathmatch game. I can have 2 private slots added so that I can invite rex and ripper to play online deathmatch with me (same team or versus, it's up to you)

Alright, it looks like I'll be getting my 360 on Black Friday. I'm going to do Circuit City's deal which is reg. price for the Premium system plus a game for free (Unless someone lets me know of a better deal). My question is, if I could pick one game what would it be? Based on this thread, everybody's playing GoW. Opinions?

GoW is outstanding bro, just outstanding. At some point though, you will need to get both Halo's. Halo1 is now about $20- after this, then get Halo2.

Scareb, Ripper, we need to set up some times to game guys!

Shall we exchange #'s?:D

Cool!! Aside from GoW, I really enjoyed Call of Duty2, and
Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter. The campaign part of GRAW is very, very "technical" but still fun. The
"just play missions" part is waay fun! You don't change the AI of the bad guys, just the "density" of them. Great maps, cities, jungles, coast, etc. And there's an immense download available w/ more maps and "time changing" of some existing maps.

This is one I'm looking forward to playing online co-op as well.

Can't wait to game w/ my bros!!! :D :D

Yep. They are waiting outside Circuit City and Target right now (that I saw personally). Target won't let them on their property until 3:00pm CST today, so they camped last night in front of the sporting goods store next door. LOL!

Rex, check your XBOX live friend requests.

For me, i would be playing the game popular in my area and of course in Asia, which is Defense of The Ancients(DOTA). I also play Warhammer 40k and i have only the first 2 version original. Looking forward to the latest Warhammer 40k ( not dark crusade). I also hope that one day, halo 3 would come out for the computer so i can start killing spartans.

Umm, let's see...

World In Conflict, Call Of Duty 4, Crysis, Company Of Heroes, Stranglehold, Bioshock, Armed Assault, World Of Warcraft, Dawn Of War Soulstorm, Oblivion, and Assassin's Creed.

All on PC. And the Assassin's Creed controls suck major sweaty male genitalia, feels like a cheap console port.

Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 for me at the moment. It managed to break the hold Mass Effect had on me.

Isn't Bully fun?! God it's a junior version of GTA (well same company, etc) and it's just... awesome!

I found out last night that a kid I went to high school with did the voice for the leader of the Nerd gang.
