The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Actually it's going to be a series on Adultswim.com, so watch it there before Youtube, they posted the first 2 parts on the site at 6pm Friday EST and will post additional episodes each weekday until they get all the parts out.

And it's written by Warren Ellis!

Parts 3 and 4 were posted on the site today. Some pretty cool stuff with Cobra Commander.

Wow. Today was parts 5 and 6. I can do without the Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow stuff, but it was interesting.

Oh and now, All Cobra troops dress the same with just minor costume variations to signify their specialty. I like!

Kinda makes me want to put together a costume of some sort, if I had a dog I'd probably do "Law & Order"

I only watched the first episode but .... DAMN! That was awesome.

While the new line of comics from IDW is a reboot, it also seems to be trying to put the edge back in the series and draw back the older fans. Its worth checking out.

Parts 9 and 10

You know I was shocked as a kid when I would watch the original cartoon, then over in the Marvel comic they would actually kill off people.

This is... awesome!

You know, it's really good...not sure about Stalker getting dreadlocks... killing off characters was a big surprise! Changing backstories, I always liked the one where Stalker, Snake-Eyes and Stormshadow served together in Vietnam.

I was so over GI Joe that I couldn't even be bothered to try and watch this.

Changed my tune in a couple minutes.

Things I REALLY like:

More realistic hand weapons, costumes and props.
When I can identify what the assault rifle a guy is using in an animated
series and it's not some generic sci-fi box with a barrel and grip, that
impresses me.

I just want to know why US forces are using Sig assault rifles. ;)

No 1980s "A-team" style gunfights where a billion rounds of ammo are fired
and the only bad thing to happen is a bunch of vehicles are blown up and one guy in the back row has a bandage on his arm.

Very, very cool. I've always kind of disliked the traditional technicolor
"cartoon" costumes. But if I had the time/money, I'd strongly consider doing one of these.

Well, they've always had that Snake-Eyes, Storm Shadow and the murder of the Hard Master by Zartan thing. This took that and gave it a twist.

And think about it, Stalker, SE, and SS would be... pretty dang old if they served in Vietnam. Happens to everyone in fiction. Frank Castle gets his experience in a different war... Tony Stark build his armor in the middle east instead... makes sense really.

Yeah, I suppose so. Hadn't thought of that. Still, makes me enjoy my custom "Stalker in 'Nam" figure I made! :D

Cartoon network has the full story plus the last 10 minutes on at midnight EST tonight.

Any one know if this is going to be an ongoing series or is this a one shot deal?

My guess is that this was a long "pilot" ep. Hopefully after the Joe movie if there is still interest they will do an ongoing. One can hope.

Nothing ruins the memories I had of the original comic in the 80's. Although, I admit I agree. This movie may make me have to lock myself in my basement and re-read all 160-some issues over again.

Just please, dear God, whatever they do to the movie ... please don't let anyone cry, "Yo, Joe!"
