The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I'll see about doing some grabs off the DVD later. I take it you have scoured through Sci-Fi Hero and Wolf Pack Elite? I had a quick look and all I could find was details about the Umbrella uniforms from the second movie

It's not - the Umbrella cleaners were pretty different to the Umbrella Centurions of Resident Evil Apocalypse.

was going to make the rifle more SA, but now not sure as i would have to remove / modify a few parts on it, and replace some as well... trying to keep the cost down so was thinking about scratch building a grenade launcher for it..

What do you guys think?

It's actually quite easy to do the outfit. I've got one, Anubian has one, etc. Hatch Centurion vest, riot gloves, knee and elbow pads.etc. I think it's USA Police Supply that has the best deals. The actual vest, (Anubian can correct me here) is no longer made. The one available looks nearly identical, save it's a bit longer.

They have a complete package available. The helmet isn't made anymore, and most of use use a kevlar helmet w/ a Scotch respirator facemask.

Boots are swat tactical. Movie used outfits- Anubian has one, or as close to it- a "underarmor-like" top and bdu pants. The movie ones are a bit different- Anubian can describe his.

A MP-5 and you're set.

The Wolfpack have made several versions- mine was a "heavy weapons" version.

You're off to a great start!

As I said before, that is one of the Umbrella personnel from the second movie - not the Umbrella "cleaners" from the first.

heh, thanks Rex but i actually sold my Centuerion suit(and they didn't use MP5's, they used the Sig 552:P )

the Hatch Centuerion armor CPX1000 is the movie armor, right now they have 2500 and 3000 on the market....basic diffrence is length

the MOVIE under suit is a really heavy duty lyrica style material (under armor works but feels more like spandex compared to the real one)

tac gear is basic holster and Misc leg pouch frm BlackHawk

the UBCS (commando style guys) is a bit more stuff

dark grey top
Tac Tiger Pants(hard to get)
S.African styled assault vest slightly modded
custom "flak" armor under the vest

To save money im making my costume from what i have already,
I have a S.A.S vest, knee and elbows pads, black boots, gloves etc.. no BDU's.. will go for black..
im just going to sew a lot of patch's on everything, after all there seems to be 4 different costumes worn in the movies, so mine will be a EU type...

Just got to get the rifle sorted out..

Over at Scifihero.net there's a couple discussions about doing the Sanitation uniform...

http://www.scifihero.net/forums/index.p ... topic=5488

http://www.scifihero.net/forums/index.p ... topic=4566

http://www.scifihero.net/forums/index.p ... topic=4556

There's sadly not much info available about them other than they used a satin type dark blue material for the jacket/trousers and it was all custom made by the production.

Also, if you rewatch RE1, you'll notice that whenever "One" holds his G36... he holds either the magazine or the grenade launcher and never the G36 pistol grip. :)

Also, the supercomputer ID tags a LOT of the weapons the Sanitation people carry incorrectly... calling a G36 an MP5 and other fun stuff like that. No wonder the whole city went zombie if a "supercomputer" can't tell the difference between a G36 or an MP5.

I noticed in the first film with the G36, the stock has been removed, plus they hold it by the grenade launcher, which is why for a long time i thought it was a Bullpup weapon... :?
Will try to build my own G/L over the next few days, from what i have found out from a web site about grenade launchers, it is a bit longer the the rifle so it sticks out by a couple of inch's , not sure if this is a typo on the site or my g36 has a shorter barrel.

It really depends on which type of G36 you have. The G36C (as made by Tokyo Marui and also used in the first Aliens Vs. Predator film) has the shortest barrel/handguard. Next is the G36K which also has a longer stock. The standard G36 has the longest barrel.

I have a G36c, on mine the end of the barrel unscrews, so i can attach a silencer.. i think what i'll do is make the G/L and see if i can not make it fit, might have to lengthen the barrel a touch, i'll build a rough mock up first to see how it goes..

just my .02 UDs: I think thats the same kind of airsoft G36 I have, only mine is all black and the threaded part of the barrel broke off while I was using the suppresor  . I got it out, just haven't how to re-attach it, or if I even want to. looks kinda cool without it.
