The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I've known about this for a few years now, and every time it's mentioned and I see more, it fills me with dread.

I'm not sure yet. Every spot I've seen about it on tv makes it out to be a classic blood and guts WWII film. Not necessarily realistic though. Lots of jingoism.

With Tarantino there is guaranteed blood and guts.

I just laughed out loud hearing the contemporary (and clichéd) soundtrack is all - and the comedy Hitler routine of course, that was hilarious!

Well, the music was from 300 - after all, it *is* just a trailer, and considering Tarantino's love of genre movies, likelihood is it will have one of those classic orchaestral soundtracks with a theme that will make you bounce in your seat with jingoistic excitement.

My worry is based entirely on Tarantino's early talking up of the idea - the idea of a WW2 film treated almost like a wild west movie. While the trailer doesn't suggest that in quite that way, I doubt this will be one I will go out of my way to see.

Actually,

That portrayal of Hitler looked pretty spot on.
The real man was quite the child when it came to not getting his own way. Only, his tantrums would kill.

Can't see Flash movies, but it sounds crap.
I'm not a big fan of Tarrantino's style and he tends to over-sensationalise the very things I prefer to be realistic.

The main thing that stood out for me was the edges of Hitler's prosthetics.

I love it !
I like Tarrantinos style, and I like Brad Pit.
I think Tarrantino puts together fantastic sound tracks.
I never tire of the way his films are edited.
Is it going to be true to WWII I seriously doubt it.
It will most certainly be bloody.

AH WANT MAH SCALPS!

Pitt is good. He will be what makes this film watchable.

It's Tarantino man. Call it creative license. Your "Wild West movie" comment is spot on though.

The shot of the soldier running and firing the MG42 looks completely ripped from Full Metal Jacket with Animal Mother running toward the camera.

I'm on the fence with Tarantino these days. Loved Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction, but hated Kill Bill (didn't even watch the sequel).

I like a good action film though- I'll still see it to see how he takes on (demolishes?) the WWII genre.
