The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I've just finished my Aliens inspired levels. The story of the film is losely followed in the two levels (Parts 1 & 2).

In Part 1 I've included several optional/secret areas and Part 2 has bonus score for doing things you don't have to do, plus you get to use the Paint gun :-)

They took me about a month each and are my first ever levels. I'm very pleased with how they turned out, and if anyone here has LBP I hope some of you will give them a go.

Here are some pics:

Part 1 - Arriving at the colony with the APC; Arriving at the Atmosphere Processor; In the colony buildings; Sub-Level 3 Alien attack

Part 2 - Escaping in the APC; Medlab, with working Sentry Guns; Escaping through the Air-ducts; The Queen's Egg Chamber; In "Operations", before an Alien attack (get that Pulse Rifle, I mean paint gun, quick!); The lift to to Dropship, and home.

If you search on @necronom, you should find me, otherwise they are called "Aliens: LBP Edition - Part 1" and "Aliens: LBP Edition - Part 2"

P.S., Yes I know the left lift door should say Gate 27, and it does now, but the pic is out of date.

I think it's a great game. You can get it for about £18 over here, which is a steal.

I've just been playing some other people's "Aliens" levels. I was avoiding them until I had finished mine.

This is a brilliant game and you've done a great job with your Aliens customisation. I hope to get a PS3 later in the year and look forward to playing it!! :D

I can imagine it being very hard to finish with a 5 yr old!

I have made the level VERY easy compared to how it started. I thought it was okay, then my Brother had a go and couldn't get very far (though he hasn't played it all that much yet). I made it much easier, then published it.

Me and my Brother are the only two people with a score!! On either level!

I made it even easier after someone posted a comment, but as of yesterday it's still only us two with scores. I really don't think it's very hard, but maybe I've been playing it too much. I was playing other peoples yesterday and some of those were insanely difficult, so that made me feel mine were about middle difficulty.

I think a lot of people only play a level once and if they don't clear it, them move on. I didn't want mine to be so easy that you do it in one go. I want people to have a few goes, then try to find the secrets and improve their score. I don't think that's going to happen the way it's been going. Not many people are going to get chased by the Queen, or even see the egg chamber if they don't have at least a couple of goes.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

My level has a certain cut scene that doesn't even appear on the DVD

Well my sweet thang gave me an early valentines day gift. She got me a ps3
and a small assortment of games. I have Hellboy, Metal Gear 4, Motorstorm,
and little big planet. Well after 3 hard days of playin mgs4 i put in lbp. The game doesn't make a whole lot of sence to me yet, but I've only played two lvls so far. I haven't even taken the ps3 online yet, but I hope to soon......

MGS4 is amazing, and Motorstorm is a great racing game. If you like Tomb Raider type games, I'd recommend Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (you should be able to get it for next to nothing these days).

I'd also highly recommend getting your PS3 online for all the updates to the Operating System and most games will have had several updates since release. Some are bug fixes that might save you some grief.
