The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Ive been finishing up my Vietnam uniform and its been giving me into the mood to try to make another war uniform so I was wondering if there's any good site out there to get information on the uniforms and equipments for WW2. I know where I can get the helmet and the boot spats but the other stuff is where i'm fading. Doesn't have to be authentic but repo.

Thanks
Adriel

Oh thanks you so much :D I could have gone to a WW2 forum but you are all my brothers, why not ask you :P
I was thinking American since i'm getting a M1A1, but i wouldn't mind doing the German since I always like their uniforms. Same goes with Russian. Even since like 8th grade i wanted to do both US and Germany.

As for size im a L

If your getting the M1A1 already go with US or Brit the uniforms will be cheaper.

The thing I have found after reenacting since the late 80's.
Allied your pay the highest prices for weapons while on the German side your money is in the uniform.

I will have to look but think I got 2 to 3 german tunics that will work if your around a 42 to 43 jacket size and I do have one that is I believe a 46.

Here both sides suffer if you go German - while a K98 doesn't cost much, everything else does. And uniforms... good god.

In our Maryland group we do German, Russian and Belgian.

My husband does Hermann Goring and has a number of different uniforms. http://hgdivision.org/index2.html

So you really need to read up on your history and decide on country, time period, unit and where they were fighting because all that will make a difference on what you need.

Yep, For Americans i was thinking of doing the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, United States Army 101st Airborne Division don't know what company. But I did find what i also needed for my Vietnam gear, Since im going to be using my M1A1 i needed to find pouches for them, so ill see if with my next side job ill get the 5 mag pouches from ATF. Also thanks you all again for all this cool information.

At the front has full uniform sets up on eBay (minus weapons) for not terribly bad prices.

http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/atthefront.com

Around $500-$600 for full kit including boots and helmet.

If I had the spare cash, I know what I'd be getting. :)
