Oh sure... after only a couple
minutes of poking around I was finding plenty of references to the M203.

My attention had obviously been elsewhere -- like my pulse rifle, my smart gun,
and my sentry gun.
So now my question is, do we know whether these shrouds you posted links for are truly scaled 1:1, or are they slightly smaller as a couple of other posts eluded to?
As far as I've been able to glean, the original M203 shroud was also made of plastic, or a plastic composite -- so unlike the SPAS-12 cage and its airsoft/gas counterparts,
this aftermarket shroud would make an ideal source part if truly in 1:1 scale.
Also, Stefan (Bug Stomper) had this to say in
another related post...
Quote:
Quote:If you are looking to build a flamer you should go with an airsoft M203 shroud. The original shroud has a cutout on the bottom of the left side that isn't present on the flamer. There are airsoft/modelkit M203s that don't have this cutout so it's likely these were used for the original.
I think you may be right Alex... I believe I want this project too! It'll probably be the death of me.
