The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Is redwolf the best dealer for airsoft guns in the US?

If not, please post a link to other options. I have done some yahoo searching, and found so damn many, I can't tell them from each other.

I've been collecting spring pistols for a long time, I am upgrading everything to gas after the holidays, so I am particularly looking for decent gas gun dealers.

Thanks in advance.

Well, I'm not sure about Redwolf being the best, since I haven't dealt with anybody else. Some have differing opinions. However, my expiriences with them have been great and I haven't had any problems. A couple of months ago, I had a WA 1911 magazine that broke. A couple of e-mails later and they sent out a replacement (it arrived in like 3 days from Hong Kong!). Redwolf doesn't permanantly remove the trademarks either and I never had a problem with customs.

Also, Redwolf is a dealer in Hong Kong that ships to the US. They don't really have a US location, so you'd be buying from overseas (Hong Kong to be specific). This personally hasn't been a problem with me, but I know some people are a little weary about it.

There are other retailers out there too. Den Trinity and the War Game Club (WGC) are very popular. Lots of people use them. UN Company is another one, but there have been some differing opinons about them.

Another issue is shipping. If you buy from overseas, shipping gets expensive. For a GBB and two mags expect to pay $40+/- for shipping. So that fifty bucks you saved by buying it from HK isn't going to matter. However, when you buy in bulk, you save a lot. Here's an example:

From the US:

AEG x2 = $600
GBB = $200
AEG mags x6 = $230
BBs = $45
Misc. accessories = $30

Total = $1105
Total with shipping = $1180

From HK:

AEG x2 = $400
GBB = $150
AEG Std. mags x6 = $180
BBs = $30
Misc. accessories = $20

Total = $780
Total with shipping = $880

A $300 price difference.

Now, that was based partially off some of my own expiriences and a couple of minutes of quick research. The bulk of it though is just an estimation, but very close.

Buying from HK is also a good idea when your looking for rare guns. This is especially true for GBBs. It's very hard to find a retailer who has a large selection of quality GBBs in the US. The same goes for pistol mags.

Wait, I almost forgot Gas. You can't get gas shipped overseas, so you'll have to buy it from a retailer here (I think this applies to the lubricant). Luckily, price and shipping is usually never much of a problem. There are plenty of places that sell them here in the US.

Whether or not you order from HK all really depends on what your getting. Somethings may be cheaper elsewhere.

I think that's everything, but if you have anymore questions, let me know. Roo-Eh, Er...Russ, maybe you could chime in.

P.S. You MUST clean and lube your GBB (and AEGif you get one). If you get a gas gun, you must maintain it frequently, especially if you skirmish with them. If you don't take care of them, they can be damaged easily.

I can recommend Airsoft Shop from personal experience.

Eddie (His anglo-cized name) is fast on e-mail and great to deal with. Never had issues ordering from them.

WGC I've had hot and cold issues with. Most of the time they're fine, but occasionally I've ordered items that never made it into my box, and when confronted they gave me $ off my next order, or promised to add the item in the next order. Which doesn't help if I needed it for THAT order.

In the USA, I've dealth with Olympus Airsoft before, and they're a US order source for products from WGC. The issue when you order an AEG for example from WGC direct, is that it comes AS-IS, with NO warranty at all.

Order from Olympus and they do add a minimal warranty, so at least you can test the gun without worrying about it arriving DOA.

You DO pay more by ordering from OA, though. Ideally, it would be to get a bunch of your buddies togeather to order at the same time and share the shipping costs equally.

Shipping from HK makes the "bargain" prices not such a bargain any more.

The key is to find someone or a couple of guys to put in a bulk order, get wholesale pricing, and split the shipping.

I almost forgot, if buying in bulk, go with redwolf. When you go over $1000, they give you a discount.
