So, I may have fallen down a rabbit hole [yay for neuro-spiciness!] ...
I've always assumed that the strapping on the ab pads was black nylon webbing, not really based on any facts, just never gave it much thought. Talking it over with Prev, I decided some research was required.
I've discounted screen grabs (for now), as reckon that with the lighting, it's likely not going to be very helpful. Also, I don't recall there being any [?] Marine ass shots, but maybe I just wasn't paying attention to that
asspect (unlikely though
). Been using the excellent resource that the US/UK Propstore auctions are as my 'source of [mostly] truth', and yes I'm aware that a lot of repro bits get included into their lots. Regardless, lots of high rez photos.

Am assuming all original.Alien War set - Propstore London Dec 2021- including due to it's traceable lineage back to SA armour (I believe). Obviously not original ad pad, but still interesting. Brass endcaps look familiar, not British P44 or P58 webbing straps, and not US Lightweight Rack or ALICE pack straps ...TE replica set No2 - Propstore Aug 2019 - black nylon webbing understrap & waist strap.MarsAttacks replica set - Propstore LA 2023 - Look to be the same OD straps as used for TE replica set No1.
