Came across an advert a while ago for a company called Laser Sport. What caught my eye was guns that look like pulse rifles-

Yep, thats a pulse rifle clone. Sounds like a business venture, rather than a business.

I'm sure I've seen one of those Pulse Rangers years ago at a dealers fair in the UK, Neophyl is probably the man to comment here.

Yep the old pulse ranger case. Orignally done by a friend of mine called Derek Stevens for the lasertag hobby scene. As we have all been aliens nuts for years it seemed appropriate

They tried to make it a business venture but the company got bought out years ago by a venture capitalist. I think the company has changed hands several times since then. They are on about the 3rd or 4th varient of the same basic shell by this time.

Ive still got a couple of the mk1 shells in the loft that I was given years back. Sold the 2 mk2 shells I had awhile ago too.

While not hugely accurate they are very tough being formed out of kydex type plastic.

Then of course theres the battlefield sports varient which isnt accurate either but is aluminium. The PR is such an iconic weapon that its bound to be used as inspiration for these sorts of things. Not that had ANYTHING to do with either of them of course

Really must get around to building up the 4 new lasertag pulse rifles I started ages ago. Based on this one (with improvements of course)
