The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I searched all over and nothing tells how big the helmet is.

Is it a mini, or full sized one?

I checked the Best Buy website, and it's listed as in stock at the Best Buy near me.

Did some searching on ebay-

One seller describes it as a "Mini helmet" with dimensions of 5 1/2 inches by 4 inches.

However this was a seller from Thailand- it was the Region 3 version.

judging by pictures of the actual boxset- it does look like it is 1:3 scale---

BOOOOOO!!!!

I'll just get the 2 disc version. Image

In this case, I actually wanted the smaller one for my desk. I have a wearable greek helm. I can't believe what a monster film this has been. Is seems anything "300" is sold out.

While I would love my own Panoply, I doubt I'll ever own one - or the body to carry it off!

I'm curious as to the "Train like a Spartan" section they keep advertising.

Probably just a bunch of Gym Jones info and clips. There was no set routine they followed per se.

Aww... think of it. If there was a training regimen next year at D*C we could have.... The 300 Marines.

Next year! I've been busting my butt for this year. Actually got under 200 pounds for the first time since High school. Course standing around pretty much naked in the Hyatt lobby will motivate you.

There were actually a couple levels of Spartan training. One guy completed the heavy and heavier. The latest Flex (bodybuilding) magazine has a great amount of info on it.

Normal
a) Pullups - 25 reps
b) Deadlifts with 135lbs - 50 reps
c) Pushups - 50 reps
d) 24-inch Box jumps - 50 reps
e) Floor wipers - 50 reps
f) Single-arm Clean-and-Press with 36lbs Kettlebell - 50 reps
g) Pullups - 25 reps

Heavy substituted 185 on b, and a 53lbs Kettlebell on f
Heavier substituted 225 on b with a 53lbs Kettlebell on f
