The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Better update here as I have changed from Maybe to Going on the Facebook Event so;

Readyline
Pug50
Osmotic
Nocternus
Rich
Bazfish
BattleBagpuss
Matt
Kim
Harley
Winch

Also I had an idea which I've already run past Kai and Gareth as follows;

How about we invite Trevor Steedman to make a guest appearance @ Unity? He should be well on the mend by then and the chance to see a bunch of the UKCM and party should be a big boost with luck. Also I would be willing to kick in a contribution towards getting him and his wife a hotel room and I’m sure others would too.

Thoughts, Suggestions, Offers?

With Just 3 weeks to go I'm just touching base with everyone.

I believe Hot tub is on the go so G and Rich are taking care of that.

I still have your Gazeeboo here G so that will be erected on the Friday evening along with any other things that need to be erected.

I'll try and make sure the Flag poles are working as well as they can be before hand so we aren't playing catch the flag later.

Having a Meeting at HQ to find out what needs to be done and arrange jobs for everyone.

I'll update the thread once I'm not so stressed!

Costumes wise feel free to bring more then one, though we must get a shot of all of us in armour at some point, one we seem to miss every time!

Geek night in the Evening of Unity and if we still have the energy DJ spiderpool will make an appearance.

Hilton Hotel is the closest Hotel to us, and is currently £67 a night which is cheaper then travelodge, Premier inn and Holiday inn where people stayed last time, otherwise floor space will be available for those wishing to crash at the restaurant.

On the Sunday it's just chill, Hot tub & BBQ

OK, Bit of an update but for those who are thinking about a hotel, there is one that has just opened up next to us, I will find out more details soon.

Once again breakfast is available for £5 for those who want it

The Geek Night buffet is £7

The bar will only be open normal hours this year, which means it will be closed accordingly, however while the bar is closed it will become a bring your own, so feel free to whip out your own after hours. This is so Kim and me can join in without having to serve, but emergency supplies will be available should you drink yourselves dry!

That clunking sound is of me shitting bricks as I've realised how little time I have left. Still haven't booked Dcon yet...

Have we missed anyone off?

This is just so that I know how many breakfasts i will be catering for and how many bodies we have kipping at the restaurant.

Please remember to bring your own beds/bedding.

I have 2 Blow up matresses going spare so say if you want them, but you will still need your own bedding.

Do you have a bowtie?

We should have a hot tub, and if it's really warm weather then I hope Bruce can bring Abe's plunge pool too. And if that fails, there is always the actual Pond... So no need to bring more containers of murky water!

I'm back home safely and trying to find the energy for real-life... but still feeling great.

A fabulous weekend. Kai managed to organise an amazing event that produces a load of happy punters, guests and costumers - and hopefully a load of money for Honeylands. The weather looked like it was going to be a big problem but some perseverance and a bit of luck meant that we made it work. The amount of work (and the length of days) that Kai put in to make this happen was legendary, and at the same time he managed to provide hospitality for our drunken rabble!

It's always a mix of warmth and sadness (and tiredness...) when I get home from these weekends. It was a gathering of like-minded, wonderful individuals. And the UKCM group in particular is the warmest, bravest, most lovely group of friends I could ever hope for.
