The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Potentially yes...

I loved that game. 1st GW game I bought, back when Rogue Trader was the norm and GW wasn't in it's TGD (Total Global Domination... it exists as a phrase within their company... I kid you not) frame of business practice.

Just purchased "Get to the chopper" - I want that resin scenery set! Really hope this makes the stretch goal to 'her majesty'.

Right, after a discussion with Gareth, I've penned an email to them to see if they are interested in involving the UKCM in this at all, citing the promotion for the game last year as an example. The General is going to check it over first, then I'll fire it over, see if they are interested.

Updates to follow...

Alpuk? Sorry, don't know that one. What have they said?

Not had anything back yet, sent the message last night.

Edit: ok googled it, I see now. Does alpuk have marines too?

Yup they do. ALPUK started as a Facebook page for Rex and her boyfriend but I'd say it's now the most successful Aliens costuming group in the UK, at least on the basis of Facebook and corporate engagement.

I'd like very much if ALPUK and UKCM could work together more closely.

Being a pledger on this Kickstarter and obviously really excited about it, Beth and I went along to the Prodos open day yesterday in Leamington Spa, where they were displaying the models and having some test games. I can now tell you first hand that the models look amazing! The best part was being able to take home some of the models at the end of the day, so we have a couple of marines and some Alien eggs which is awesome. I'll post some pictures in the main thread back in The Ready Line.

It was great talking to the guys and hearing about the resources they have available to them from Fox, and the review process they have to go through before they can release each prototype model (it is VERY stringent). I have seen the Queen test render and she is HUGE! The game played really well and Beth enjoyed her first table top wargame :P

We took the gear along in the car in case they wanted a closer look at any of the kit, and they were so psyched with the photos from recent cons that we ended up breaking out the lot. Long story short, they've requested our help organising some marine promo - I've swapped details and will update here when they let me know when and where they want us. So watch this space marines.... :delta:
