FYI I've just been informed that the Westin and the Sheraton are sold out as well as Gareth telling us the Hilton is full as well. I asked if this was just their system saying they were blocked out...he said no.

The Marriott and Hyatt will fill up quickly so make your hotel plans ASAP...and have a backup plan.

i have booked the westin and the motel 6 .. and i wont cancel the motel 6 res till very close to the con , just in case money gets tight ,and or someone here needs a room .we stayed there tuesday night , and while it wasnt very clean it is super cheap , if we drive again to save money , we will just bring our own bedding and clean the bathroom .. hell its so close to the hilton i may stay there and dump the westin , who knows we will see .

What a mess. I'm sure they don't even have the con rate yet. You'll get a reservation, but at the rip-off full rate of over $300 per night. This is getting worse every year. Good luck marines, I think we're facing our toughest challenge yet.

no they all have con rates . which is good for the westin my room is 198 a night , down from 250 , but the motel 6 is 135 a night up from 69 ...

Wow, I'm in awe of the popularity of this convention.

I am once again crossing my fingers that the OWP guys will get us a hyatt room, they haven't failed me yet, but you never know

I was really hoping to stay at the Hilton again this year. Them already being sold out has me super pissed. I cannot believe that let all rooms go at one time. Looks like I will try the Hyatt this year. The Marriot just seems way to busy. That and the elevator horror stories has me staying away. Did I mention the Hilton is pissing me off?

That is what I was hoping till G telling Tony that they are legit and not holding out. I love staying at the Hilton but this room thing is getting so out of hand. I am hoping that when the other hotels open up booking in Oct, some Hilton rooms show up but I am not holding my breath.

They ARE legit, they have sold out the block they opened, now you just wait until they open another block and so on... tedious, and rather irritating, but that is how it is every year

I'm of the opinion the Hilton will be opening more blocks soon enough too ... they are saying they are completely full but I think they are corporate-lying.

They have to be!

I'm hoping so.
I've always had issues with hotels saying they are full when they've just not opened up the room blocks yet.

I've booked our offsite hotel as backup and will try for the Hyatt, but I'm not spending 2 hours refreshing over and over in an attempt to get one lousy room at $250 a night....it's not worth the hassle.

i actually have two hotels booked , but ive been thinking its like 3 grand for me to go to this con , and while i love it , i could go on two really great vacations for that kinda money . this year may be my last as well .
