The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

No worries mate, I'm sure the mod's won't mind the topic wandering just a little.

I'd certainly recommend that you join if you have an interest in this sort of thing. I left way back in 2000 but thouroughly enjoyed my time with the TA. I'm still in touch socially with many of the friends I met at my unit, both regular & TA, some of whom are still serving.

Take some time to check out the reserve forces website, then maybe visit your local armed forces careers office or contact one of your local TA centre's direct.

Cheers.

Cheers mate.

... Reaper have you joined up yet? ...

Whilst i'm here though Nocternus what type of PR did you end up with? Just a straight G&P/M1A1 kit like mine or did it have any aftermarket parts from the likes of Matsuo on it?

All the best.

John. :)

Haha! not yet, I've just started the 'get army fit' program on Sunday so should be a few months before I sign up. Gonna see the recruitment peeps later this week though :)

Anywhoo, it might help the experts if you post up a pic or two of your Pr and battery.

Yeah me too! Wish I'd bought one years ago now. I was always put off by the supposed complexity of the G&P build but PVB's guide made it seem extremely simple in the end... & cheaper too!

You've certainly ended up with a better quality PR than the forthcoming Evike one I reckon. For a start the TM Thompson is still the best of the lot as a donor gun in my opinion & the G&P kit is a known quantity as it's been around some years now.

Cheers.

John. :)

P.S; Reaper, good luck with the fitness programme & I hope careers office visit is useful.
