I pre-order because I can pay like $5 a payday at Gamestop. Makes it much easier to take a $60

I think the ammo counter is where it is because there is limited HUD in the game; if you want to know how much ammo you have left, you have to look at the rifle. If you want to look and see what enemies are near, you have to lower the PR and look at the motion tracker screen.
So it isn't like Half Life or something where all the player has to do is look at the screen and health and ammo is instantly shown, and the Pulse Rifle is on the right-hand-side of the screen.
I don't know what that slot thing is on the side of the Pulse Rifle; looks like something connects to it, though.

It'd be good maybe if they toned down the colors; everything looks brightly colored in these shots to me but still excellent nonetheless.

In the one pic with the smartgunner, the marine with the motion tracker is carrying quite an elongated/enlarged pulse rifle. Something about its proportions seems to be off.
