This may sound daft, but one thing i like to see when i visit sites like this is photo's of drops, pictures paint a thousand words and i would love to see photos of old drops all located in one place.
Ive already found video of the UKCM on youtube but really want to see pics of the drops you guys have done.

Just wondering if theres anything round here ???

Since we generally don't use any spotters, UKCM don't take a massive number of photos.

Boltrig and Rustiswordz are both avid photographers and take some photos at drops. Most of those end up on Facebook. Likewise, punters take photos of use and often tag us on Facebook. I take photos that mostly have little to do with the drop itself, cos Abe keeps me busy for most of the show hours!

It's a long running joke that we'll get together at a drop one day and get some really good group photos done. However, the beige wall of a convention centre isn't the greatest backdrop, and replacing the bg in post is both cheesy and hard to do well.

Fraid we're all a bit haphazard when it comes to photos; everyones got their own preferred site for hosting, everyone uploads them at different times.
Best thing to do is go through the 'readyline' threads for drops or aftermath threads if there are any, and look for links there.

We all host our pics various ways; on Facebook, Photobucket, Flickr, etc.

Usually there's links to pics in the thread about the Drops, so you just need to scan down the threads in the UKCM forum or Ready Line to find any near the last pages of the threads.

For this very reason, I tend to upload mine directly here. The added advantage is that they remain here forever.
Mine are all, as PVB said, in the threads relating to that specific Drop.

I used to host all mine on my own website friendlyskies.co.uk but since I took the site down essentially it was pointless mentioning it

Does the UKCM need an updated website or gallery? I see the old site hasn't been updated since 2008, and I guess with Facebook it's mostly unimportant, but you could have a designed FBML page on Facebook.

Yep, for WordPress I find it cuts time in half for simple templates. If I'm being paid to do bespoke work I then prefer to code it myself

The project I have created is freely available. If someone wants to pay for a site, then it will no longer be simple. If UKCM need an advanced site, then let me know. It's hard to make a living from unpaid work, but simple designs, free templates and other basic projects help others.

The content of the UKCM site is what is important, and once updated from December 2008 where the current site stopped, then it will be a site worth battling for

@Mantroon - Definitely more of the "hybrid designer". I've been dpoing HTML and CSS for a while but only on a personal website basis. Broke into commercial sites less than a year ago and am getting some work, but need to get my SEO sorted to get myself out there.
