Hi Andy.
It's Andrew here, you wore my Alien War suit at the NSC event.
Hopefully I can help you a bit.

Quote:How did you fix the neck to your head (I.E) what glue as I'm toying with the wat Gareth did it (using fabric inside) but still not sure what to do.
When glueing the neclk into place, where's the best point to start at, I.e the back and work round or the front and do each side meeting at the rear point ?
Also did you hollow out the inside of the head at all to make it bigger ?
First, check out Gareths (Pug50) site for info on how to connect the neck:
xeno666.googlepages.com/a...ction_headI made a bit of a hash of it because I rushed it for the NSC event, and the neck is twisted in the photos of Jo in that suit. I have to take it off and re-attach it sometime.
YES I did have to hollow out the head. And it's still too tight. But I've scraped away as much as possible, which wasn't much but it did make a difference. I was hoping to get a helmet in there, but, no chance – these heads are some generations on from the originals and get smaller with each recast.
I would recommend you talk to Gareth or Jez who have spent more time on fabricating the suits and are now what I would call 'experts in the field'. Hopefully I'll get time soon to catch up to that standard as I'm hoping to get my suit finished in time to go to Facts in Belgium – as an Alien!
Edit: I tried on Gareths Bug head last week at the London Aliens screening, and I must say the field of vision was much better than you'd expect. If you are planning on wearing your suit at shingigs and conventions, then I think Gareths method is a winner.
Post some progress pix if you get a chance.
Good luck, chap.
Andrew
