The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I'm sorry Doc...

But you know what a Marine would tell you...

GET BACK INTO THE FIGHT!

Cancer's a bad disease and I lost my beloved grandmother to its aftereffects. Believe it or not she beat pancreatic cancer into submission. But age and chemo and the damned flu did it. I'm sure being that you've gone through this before you know that its all a game of wills and mindset. Stay strong brother, I'm sure we all have your back here, I believe you can beat it.

Semper Fi!

I am so sorry to hear about battle Doc. That's horrible news.
I feel your pain sir. I lost my mother, step mother and a couple of other family members to cancer. I also almost fell prey to colon cancer, but it was caught in time. Even though it's tough battle, it's amazing what they can do nowadays. My best to you and your family through this trying time. Even though I have not met you face to face, the photos of you I have seen so far tells me that you are one tough S.O.B...
Hang in there Doc, we are all pulling for you. :delta:

I've never understood the phenomenon of people sharing who they've lost to cancer when addressing cancer victims.

I won't tell you who are the people I've lost, Doc, but I can tell you I know one who beat it.

Beat this thing, brother. Kick its ass.

I wasn't saying she was lost to it. She beat it... Pancreatic by the way, the one you aren't really supposed to beat. I don't get the phenomenon either, but I was sure to explain to Doc in PM that I mean it by the best. Because I was there for every moment, the ups and downs, and was there when she beat what is considered nigh unbeatable. IMO I lost my grandmother to the flu. She BEAT the cancer.

I'm sorry but Doc is a Navy Corpsman he knows that Marines think of those things as lessons to gather strength from. But I know the phenomenon you speak of and to me it says how common this stuff seems to be getting.

Doc Vito isn't going anywhere, he's gonna come there, he's gonna conquer, and he's gonna kick some.

Doc, I've only just seen this.

I don't know what to say. :(

Sounds like with the preparation you're doing you are going in strong against it.

Grabbing it by the bollocks and giving it a good kicking, good for you! :D

Shame you have to sell your stuff, but you can always get that back.

Take care of yourself, get back in remission and then get back on that other thing beginning with 'R', the Ready Line!

Mine, Karyns (and Jonesy's :D ) thoughts are with you, take care, get better and see you back here on the double Marine.

Andy

Guys ...thank you all so much..like I said...its more than a Movie..we are a family :) .and if all else fails (medical technology wise)..

I can always have Taj spank it out of me... ( hey some folks pay good money for that)

I really believe its all about attitude..and WILL

but here is a laugh...

the other day I was getting a CTscan; and I thought of the scene in A3 when Ripley was being checked out back in her hyper-sleep module. remember when the med-scan Instrument read out "foriegn tissue detected"..

See..I am truly obsessed as well

talk to all soon..
