The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

After much work, searching and discussion, custom patches, etc I've finally got my Dress Blues almost done. A lotta work to just fit into the jacket!!
I've a custom marksmanship medal almost finished. Might work up a couple others, not sure.

Couldn't get the full body shot to re-size worth a darn. Came out all squat lookin'

Pants are black w/ actual Marine Bloodstripes.

I had the stripes custom made.

It's very hard to find a jacket to fit- I finally found mine on a uniform exchange site. I normally wear a 44, but needed a 46 in Dress Blues to fit me.
Keep looking, it took me awhile to find one that fit.

It's very hard fitting across the waist, day-um hard! It's been alot of work getting that lower damn button to close! LOL!
I wish there was a way to let the bottom portion of the jacket out, even an inch, I'm afraid to drink much alcohol until after the parade!

You don't look like a 46. Btw I hate to make things hard on you but try and get it form fitted, it looks a bit fluffy in the chest. Dress Blues are always formed fitted. TBH they should almost be borderline uncomfortable to wear. But thats where the sharp look comesw from.

But its a matter of personal choice in this case really.

Looks good Rex! Well done!

How much did the jacket set you back, not including the patches?

Ohhhh bro, it was two years ago I got this. I want to say no more than $50-60. Again, it was not ebay, it was from a military uniform exchange- all types of US Military Dress uniforms sold on it. I don't have the site anymore, but should be able to get with a google search.
