The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I have another question veterans. Those who are flying how are you bringing your costumes?

Thanks!

Greg

If you're flying within the united states it's most likely best to check in your pulse rifle as a fire arm, in which case you'll need it to be in a hard case that can be locked or unlocked. Then just declare it at the ticket counter and they'll help you out.

That is what the TSA stated. I am wondering more about armor.

Thanks!

Has anyone done that before? I mean I am sure they have. Do you send it to guest services? How hard is it to find a place to ship it back? I am sure the UPS does pick ups and I have an account so that should not be a problem.

THanks!

Greg

There's a FedEx/Kinko's in the Marriott, so shipping it back home isn't terribly difficult. Rob (Tarim-Rex here) shipped his gear back home to Maryland from Pasadena after the Rose Parade in '07 and it cost him ~$75 at the time. Figure it costs more now, but that is just an idea.

Or..you can ship it to me...since I both...

A) Live about 20 miles from DC
B) Work for UPS and can easily pick it up at my hub AND return it for you without paying the hotel "convenience" fee.

Just a suggestion..

Derek

Derek, you and I can work out a really sweet deal later if that Judge Dredd costume gets "lost" in transit and ends up in my grubby little hands.

Derek,

Sounds like a plan. I will be sending all armor and Snake Eyes stuff if that is ok. I am starting on my God of War II Ares armor and Athena blades. I think I am going to cast in fiberglass. I have some ideas for lighting the blades and Medusa's head. I am hoping for a pulse by DC, sending to Matt next week.

Thanks!

Greg
