As I've seen some of you guys on this board are very good with the computer graphics etc. What I'm looking for is a logo for the charter. Both Dom and I are kind of in need of one for the site, patches etc but I'm no good with graphics compared to what you people can do. For instance the custom signature banners etc. Pretty much just taking the essence of the USCM, its global membership and diversity and making it into a symbol. Would anyone be willing to have a go at this? All I have so far is the PR over the tracker, but that doesn't really capture much. Any better ideas? Tony, as this is Charter business, it really belongs in the forum I specifically created for you. Sorry, but this really is not for the main board, especially as so many of the main board members are charter members as well, so you can't say they won't see it. Sounds good. I'll have something for you as soon as I can. I have my hands in a few projects, but I can definitely squeeze this in.  And I'm working in Illustrator, Freehand, and Photoshop on a constant basis so I have ready access to them both at work and at home.I was thinking along the lines of a "patchable" logo myself. This is my first submission. I have a few others I'm working on. The illustration was done in Illustrator and then brought into Photoshop to create the beveled effects to more closely resemble a patch. I chose a round design since custom shapes can incur additional costs when patches are made. I also decided to leave out the "United States" portion of he Colonial Marines since this is geared toward a charter comprised of a global community. This is also larger than actual size - I did this to show detail. The actual design is 3" x 3" - but can be modified to be what ever size necessary since it's vector art. Thanks, Tony. "ATAW" stands for "Anytime, Anywhere." It's not only a reference to the film but I feel fits the global community of marines that are part of he carter. I think adding the an APC to this particular design may over-crowd. I'll do a variation of this design including an APC. I should have additional designs up during the week. Now that I sold my Star Wars biker helmet, I have some funds in the till. $20 goes to Cpl Beaudoin the next time he does a dogtag run...so, I've got $40 to spare. If I had my choice between ATAW and "Load up, Drop in, Kick ass", I'd pick...BOTH! The first is definitely something you'd see as an military patch, I believe. The second just freakin rocks!!! and just nails the USCM attitude. I vote for both Rand 2nd Lt. Well as the news letter stated its $10 (I said $20) now, but if more interest comes in the price will go down. We need a minimum of 50 orders to get this off the ground. I'm more for the second one but ofcourse its not up to me, its up to you guys. If Mike is happy to hand the designs over to me for production (as remember these are his work, not mine) then we can put it to use. I'm happy to use both designs on the site as a logo and 'members logo' (as you said it nails the USCM attitude) then we got ourselves a basis. And as always any ideas send em' my way or Doms way and we'll get it rolling.
