Post subject:  Ny comiccon weapon policy change !!
Me and friends went there today , Friday the 10 th . And they are cracking down hard now on weapons . My buddy dressed as a marine , had his spulse taken away ! Doesn't fire or do anything , they felt it was to dangerous to let in . So voucher end it gave us a ticket and told us at the end to go to the security office to reclaim it . Then they escorted us out to the entrance lol . Good thing we could have started spraying 10mm armor case less rounds every where ;) . The days of me bringing the good old smartgun to nycc are over . Even though I brought it there first three years I went . We'll heads up for any one going . Supposedly they just release a new weapons policy email that no one ever saw . Besides that we had fun .

I think that DCon would need a concert hall to contain everyone's checked weapons.

I kinda agree with the baseball bat with nails through it being taken away, but I think they should have specially trained weapon "clearers" (assuming they don't) to check firearm type props.

Do they pat people down for explosives? I doubt it. Seems a bit silly.

Not confirmed but the bat had rubber nails . It was sad seeing Indy lose his pistol and whip at the door . The second day I didn't troop in my colonial marine gear because of these conditions . Never had a problem till this year . Last two years went in no problem with the smart gun .
