For those who are unfortunately not going to dragoncon this year, what plans do you have for the weekend?

Personally, I have to work all weekend and working on my Judge Dredd/ Lex helmet.

I'm going to be on a plane to Buffalo for a 3 day working meeting at head office.

Ironic I'm going to be closer to D-con than I'd normally be, but I'll be wearing a shirt and tie in the office....In honour of our USCM/UKCM troops I'll probably sneak my Weyland Yutani tie clip on for the duration ;)

If the work schedule is kind to me, I will be getting soaked with cold seawater while re-enacting a full-on WW2 Normandy beach landing, complete with landing craft.

If not, I'll probably be somewhere between working on site and gaming, tinkering with the bike, riding the twisties, etc.

Well, I spent my D*C weekend indoors.. mostly working on this:

that is just one of the avatars I have in second life.. I'd got bored & tired of dark sims so I'd made a shoulder lamp.. decided to mod some armor I had to "match". And just because, under the torso armor is a USS Chulamanis Patch. :)

Maybe I'll be able to go next year, now that I'm back in the area. ^^
