The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

OK marines, rise & shine.

We must be on the ready line for the DCon parade for 08H00, so breakfast is at 07H00 at the fan table.

Bring your coffee and I will provide cornbread (eat it boys, it's good for you) and an extra raffle ticket. Yes that's right! 07H00 roll call presence gets you an extra raffle ticket!

So join in, bring some corn bread of your own if you like and see you 1 hour before parade time for a delicious nutricious meal of WY™ brand corn bread.

... and remember: I like Earl Grey with two sweeteners and no milk. Anyone who puts milk in Earl Grey deserves to be... I digress.

Who's in? Sign up.

For those who don't read military time...

He says be at the table at 7am on Saturday morning.

7am folks!

Any takers?

Dom- you do know that the majority will be drinking heavily the night before yes?

Oh yes, very aware. But if you want your corn bread and raffle ticket, you're gonna have to wipe the crusties out of your eyes and find the hair of the dog that bit you.

Super duper double secret surprises will be given out as well, so it's not to be missed! ;)

It will be more like 7:30...

Maybe 7:45.

Probably 8-ish.

We are without question NOT the 501st.

We love the movie Aliens- that's it! :D

Fox doesn't come to us for "Cannon Only" costumes for an event (like say... the opening of AvP)- so we don't harp on how accurate peoples' armour (or lack thereof) is.

Hey, Adonis, you don't want my armor. It's the first set made, and compared to the newer ones I make, looks like crap. But I'm too lazy to make a new set for myself.

Though this year, I will be bringing a Pulse Rifle. Looking at the video from last year, I felt a little silly being armed with Coffee.

I do need a Rifle sling, and some way of attaching it to my G&P Pulse Rifle, though. :)

I have mine clipped on like this:

Seems sturdy enough, although I wouldn't trust it if I swung the PR around by the sling. :)

I've done the same as PVB with my sling attachment. With a broken "non-locking" stock you have to pamper it, but I've used it this way at two cons and it feels sound enough. Too bad it looks like I don't have enough time to get that fixed before DC.

Back on topic, I can't speak for him but I will try and get Gilmore to make the Cornbread Call as well. We will have a cooler full of ice that I can use for...inspiration.
