The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Information about badges are going out now for San Diego Comic Con. The bigger question is - is anyone here going?

I am going for the first time in a few years and was thinking of pulling out my Class C uniform for the event. Is there anyone else interested in doing something for the con?

I'm always down for another SoCal trip. It's only about an 8 hour drive for me. I have tons of friends down there, and I can always stop by Camp Pendleton to pick up some goodies. I just don't know if I am available with my training schedule.

I will be at WonderCon (comic-con's little brother) in Anaheim this weekend. I will probably wear my dress blues on Sunday, but I'm not 100% sure yet.

My immediate plans are to have my Colonial Marine Armor ready to go...not much left aside from tweaking a few things here and there...waiting for my BDUs to arrive from a member in England (thank you) and weathering 'sigh' typically the longest process of the entire build...

just roll around in a dirt pile and wash the crap out of them with non-optical brightner soap. usually gain or something like that doesnt have it and wont keep it too bright.

works on my ACU's and OD green clothing.

Would have liked to make it, but I won't be in country until later in July. Pretty sure this unit won't let me detach super early anyways, else I could be.

Would be nice to get out and utilize my mostly finished costumes :D

Planning on SDCC 2013 for sure though.

I have my Annual Training in July this year, and we don't have dates yet... so I don't know if I'm available to go yet or not.

Bummer I was hoping to make it this year but my PCS (Permanent Change of Station) from Japan fell in later than I thought. Totally down for SDCC 2013 though :D

Need to remember to save leave up and take that whole week off.

Just read this on CastleTV.net:

Quote:
Tim Minear of Firefly fame mentioned that this year there will be a special 10 year anniversary Firefly event held at Comic Con this year and it’s a sure bet that Nathan Fillion will be attending that event.

Everyday is a good day for a drop! :delta:

So, I just found out that I don't have drill in July. So I'm free to go! Except now, all the tickets are sold out! :(

I have a pro badge that comes with a guest if I register early enough. A friend of mine who is trying to get out of portrait and wedding photography only asked months ago if he could have it, so I said yes. We are only going on Saturday though, which seems kind of a waste of a 4 day badge.

next year hit me up earlier.
