The booth is basically a mini theatre setup, where the Gearbox crew shows a demo of actual gameplay (i.e. one of the presenters is playing the game while someone else narrates.) There isn't a public-playable demo that we're aware of, but we've all gotten a chance to see the presentation and the game looks fantastic.

Gearbox has really put a lot of effort into making something that is new and interesting, while still staying true to the movie canon. As the lead presenter put it, Alien 3 was more like a sequel of the first movie than of the second; to them, they see their game as a direct sequel to Aliens, and they've tried to stay as close to that feel as possible.

Current word on release is Spring 2012. I can't wait.
