The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I'm just saying the posts should be updated... That's why people, like me, keep paying the deposits without reading all of page 2 and 3.

To be fair, it's generally a good idea to read all of a thread before doing anything off the back of it... Just in case the info in the first post IS out of date.

Well, I'm saying that all of the posts on the first page our out of date, not the first post.

I'm just pointing out why Spat keeps getting deposits paid, while he keeps posting follow-ups telling people to stop.

Since it seems to be causing issues, I'll re-post the comment that I made on July 25th:

"Ok, we're good on deposits now. You can still pay in if you want, but it's not super important."

Spat just say that if you pay a deposit now it will go to my own funds and not the meal and you will lose out.

So people would not pay and if they do well, you got some extra drink's money!!!!!!

If you send in your deposit money now, I will use the money to train my dog to unhook a woman's bra and you will not get credit for the dinner's money.

That better?

:)

Crap, 6 days left. I paid for me plus 'one' and I still don't have a date :( I might have to eat the other deposit.

Dress code.
Charlie uniform should be fine. I'm wearing mine! It looks pretty formal, not too over the top and looks close to a real uniform. I don't think they will know the difference. This also allows me to avoid having to bring extra clothes to the con. Also, it looks much sharper than what many people consider 'business casual' nowadays.

* And I will remove my cover once I get inside... I know the deal.

*** Ok Girlspectre, no pin-up. But what about the black dress you had on last year? I may have to buy you a drink if you do... (You did complain last year you didnt get enough free drinks, right?)

So due to the elevator insanity at the westen we were late to the meetup and restruant. I was tasked by
Matsuo (which my phone tried to autocorrect to staff infection.....) to deliver resin parts to a guy at the con. We were going to do the swap at the restruant.

Hostess told me that they were full but would have me escorted back and then leave. Ok cool. I can do that.

Two steps later, was stopped and told to "leave the box at the desk and get the hell out"

Glad I didn't pay the deposit!!!!!! Haven't had bad customer service since Florida 3 years ago!!!!!!!

But I thank you very much for waiting Kevin. The parts are worth the flight over to the USA alone. Dinner was great Spat. Well done

Hats off to Spat and Paul for organizing this, thank you!!

The band took a break at the perfect time for our awards.
I thought the food was great to.

FYI Cherie and I had dinner at a Chinese Place just down from the Hyatt that has a very large area for seating and just need about a days notice for a group of about 50.
It's quiet and they have both a menu and buffet options and some kicka$$ sushi.

...just a thought.

Well after the drama 24 hours before departure this year, organizing the parade, applying for and assigning the fan table....why not :)

My only concern with this location is staffing.
Thursday night was great as we were the only ones there pretty much, but Friday night there were about 5 other groups and the staff were VERY slow in getting to us.
They did however apologize and were on us like white on rice (pardon the pun) after I spoke up.
If we did then I'd have to confirm, reconfirm and then re-reconfirm that they have 50 people to deal with and can't just have one waiter/waitress covering it all.

To get the ball rolling for 2013....anyone against Chinese food?
